Well Tim sorry to hear that. The only reason I said that is because many of the comic sites don't really give a lot of the direct to dvd animated movies good reviews and that's why I was excited. I can't remember the last good review that was unanimous outside of batman year one and crises on two earths, before that wonder woman maybe? Anyway, it's a shame because it was technically (correct me if I'm wrong) dwayne mcduffie's last work.

Shac...Actually I only gave batman Year One a C grade as well.  And I think most of the readers agreed, especially considering the poor voice acting by benjamin Mckenzie as well as the barely there running time of 65 minutes.  I think if DC really wants to be taken seriously by comic fans with their animated films they have to start giving them more meat.  60 - 70 minute run-times are not enough to tell a story.

I think the prob;em with this review is, you are Comparing it to the book rather than judging it as a movie.

If we compared movie to book on any DC Animated (or ANY movie) the movie would ALWAYS fall flat.

This was a very enjoyable movie

After reading the review it's hard to believe you even managed to give it a C plus. I wonder what the letter grade would have been had Benjamin Mckenzie voiced Batman hah. I guess being unencumbered by the source material turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I enjoyed it quite a bit and even got a small watchmen vibe from certain scenes. Definitely worth checking out.

P.S. Claudia Black voiced Cheetah!
