Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have signed an agreement to distribute Justice League Heroes. The game will be based on the comic by DC Comics, and designed for PS2, PSP, and Xbox.

"With the addition of Justice League Heroes to Eidos' portfolio of products, featuring Lara Croft and Agent 47, we are creating a formidable line-up for gamers that will now include playing as Superman, Batman and the other superheroes," said Jane Cavanagh, Chief Executive, Eidos Interactive.

The game will allow players to play as Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and other Justice League superheroes. Each superhero will have unique controls and fighting-styles and the powers will upgrade as you advance through the game.

I'm interested to see how this works out. I remember a while back they did DC Superheroes Street Fighter style. It was pretty weak compared to the Capcom/Marvel Streetfighter series.

Sometimes it's amazing how slow on the news this site can be.

This game was announced MONTHS AGO!

Still it looks pretty sweet.

Uh, exactly how will Batman's "powers" as he doesn't have any super powers?

"...Batman's powers advance..."

Yes, this news has been around for a while. But I can't wait to get it!! From the screenshots, it seems that it's going to be very much like X-MEN LEGENDS, which is one of my favorite games. The only disappointment is that Zatanna is one of the main characters. They couldn't have given us Aquaman or Black Canary (who were at least members of the first incarnation, at least according to Giffen) or Green Arrow or Hawkman/Girl or even Elongated Man/Plastic Man?

So far, they haven't released a full list of superheroes for the game. I've read other articles that stated they were considering including Aquaman, Hawkman/Girl, among several others. Hopefully we'll see a finished list of characters soon, maybe at E3 next week.
