All this rumor and speculation is moot if Man of Steel bombs. And if it were me l wouldn't have greenlit this until after the dust settles from Man of Steel's box office.

 Wish - The only reason people point to the current crop of movies instead of the others you mention is that they are the ones that Marvel itself has been in control of, rather than Fox or Sony.  (Mainly Fox.)

WarCry - I thought Routh was fairly solid as Superman as well.  The only problem was it felt like he was aping Reeves more than making the role his own.  Which could be more the fault of Singer rather than him.

 I'll be impressed if they can pull this off.  With this line up, it will be a much larger effort than the Avengers movie.  And, with Ryan Reynolds...well, good luck.  Lots of intros for characters that could stand to use their own movies.  

Ryan can be serious.  He did pretty well in Safe House and Buried.

I say they are going to kick this out of the stadium just like Marvel did with the Avengers.  DC need not follow the same formula as Marvel did.  As long as Superman MOS kicks ass this is all in the bag.  Let's just hope that MOS is bad ass.

Bring it DC/Wb and please do not screw this up.  If they DO screw this up then they are screwed and will never recover from it.  Last chance DC/WB.  Do not fumble it.

 Ok, im reading on another site that JGL is still probably confirmed as Batman for the Justice League movie. Does anyone else know if this is true? Or am I missing something?? The article im reading on the JL casting is 2 hours old, but im not sure if they even know that the JGL rumor was debunked or not?

If I were a betting man, I would put money on Ryan Reynolds NOT playing GL in the JL movie.  I just don't see it happening.  (But I don't really care either way.)

Someone pretty much asked why I didn't have faith in WB's Justice League movie.  Well, after Shumaker's Batman, Halle Berry's Catwoman, Brolin's Jonah Hex, Shaq's Steel (threw this one just to pile on), Singer's Superman, and Reynold's Green Lantern it will take more than Nolan's Batman & Snyder's Watchmen to set my mind at ease with regards to WB being able to pull off a Justice League movie that won't suck.  Not saying it can't be done, and not saying they won't do it, but I've got my fingers crossed.  Jury is still out on Snyder's Superman, but I am optimistic about it.

I hope they don't continue with JGL as Batman, but if he keeps the suit on the whole time, it shouldn't make that much of a difference.  (Though it will piss me off!)  :)

momitchell and wish:  What you're forgetting is that the "Marvel" movies to refer to were NOT made by Marvel Studios.  And Marvel doesn't own the movie rights to those franchises.  So really Marvel hasn't had any movie failures.  Other people have had failures with Marvel characters.

JGL is going for Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel. At least that is what SuperHeroHype is saying.
