Rogue Pictures has grabbed scribe Justin Marks to pen out the final screenplay for its upcoming horror comic adaptation
Hack/Slash, says the
Hollywood Reporter. The director set to lead the project, Todd Lincoln, wrote the initial draft with Martin Schenk and some help from Ben Magid. Marks is a busy man these days, having finished the latest
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li script and currently working on the
Green Arrow and
He-Man screenplays.
Plot Concept: "Hack/Slash," created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, centers on Cassie Hack, a woman who travels to small towns across the country hunting slashers in the vein of "Halloween's" Michael Myers, "Friday the 13th's" Jason Voorhees and "A Nightmare on Elm Street's" Freddy Krueger. She is partnered on her journey with Vlad, a hulking companion who serves as her protector.
