Warehouse 13: Duped Review (Article) - 8/31/2009 11:49:14 AM

Yes StarlightGuard, that was Jefferson Airplane singing White Rabbit, the ultimate drug/Alice and Wonderland song.

Eureka: You Don't Know Jack Review (Article) - 8/31/2009 11:46:36 AM

Yeah, it was weak, but every show has a few weak episodes.  Maybe ther were saving money for something special for the season finale.

And it two weeks we have the return of Matt Frewer.  I smell love triangle with him Jo and Zane.

TV Wasteland: Life on the Horizon (Article) - 8/31/2009 4:00:35 AM

While on Friday, Eureka is taking a break with new episodes, I believe there is a marathon of old eps for the entire day.

Happy Labor Day weekend Maniacs.

JURASSIC PARK Returning? (Article) - 8/27/2009 11:25:13 AM

Jurasic Park I was a great film.  I loved Jurasic Park II, maybe more than the first film.  Jurasic Park III sucked IMHO.

Does anybody else have doubts about toy dinosaurs with "dino damage" that scream when they are wounded?  That may be just too ghoulish.

Warehouse 13: Duped Review (Article) - 8/27/2009 11:00:03 AM

And guest stars from Eureka.  First BSG, then Stargate Atlantis, now Eureka.   Next week, apparently someone else from Eureka.  Anybody else sensing a theme?

DVD Shopping Bag: The Look Ahead to September and October (Article) - 8/27/2009 4:52:32 AM

Farscape, still better than sliced bread (though not QUITE as good if you're trying to make a sandwich...)

A few years ago they were releasing it with each season split into 3 parts and the sets were $20 each.  That's $60 a season, but chopped up into parts like that it still fit into my (limited) budget.

Eureka: Shower the People (Article) - 8/27/2009 3:54:06 AM

I agree.  Whoever or whatever Kim 2.0 was, she was a sentient living being.  Of course, she WAS dying so the matter of retrieving the information coded in her cells was time sensitive.  Even so, just dismissing her as an artificial life form and therefore of no consequence was cold.

Then again, the human citizens of Eureka seem to drop like flies and nobody seems very concerned.  Two scientists and spa attendant kicked the bucket in this ep and nobody shed a tear.

It would have been interesting to see the new Kim as a continuing character.  Watching Henry teach her how to be human would have been an interesting sub plot.

Eureka: Shower the People (Article) - 8/25/2009 4:00:56 AM

Well, Henry still remembered the years he and Kim were married, even if nobody else does because they didn't happen anymore.  He probably still thinks of her as his wife.

5 WTF Moments In Movies (Article) - 8/25/2009 3:53:41 AM

Hobbs, haven't seen UP or District 9.  I understand District 9 is rated R for extreme violence and I still feel burned by the extreme violence in Watchmen so I'm kind of leery about it.  If you've seen both, how does the violence compare?

Lsn22s, um, that's Mr. Spock.  Dr. Spock was a child psychologist.  And from where I sit, Star Trek was very throughly GI Joed.  I thought Indy IV was entertaining but parts of it, most notably that fight on the trucks roaring through the jungle and Mutt on a vine, went a little too far.
