Kasdan to Write Boba Fett Movie?

Rumor Circulating

It seems as if today is going to be a Star Wars rumor day. First up we have the rumor that Lawrence Kasdan, the screenwriter for Episode V, Episode VI, and Episode VII is currently wring a stand-alone Boba Fett movie.
The rumor started to circulate when AMC’s own Jon Schneoo reported:

“One of [the Star Wars spinoffs] is Boba Fett. It is. I know. I know for a fact. I will never reveal my source, but it is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan.”

Schmoesknow.com has a very reliable “source” and they state that this rumor/ report is true. This would place the Boba Fett movie after Garth Edwards’ film because his film is being written by Gary Whitta. So would that mean Kasdan’s script would be the 2018 or the 2020 stand-alone film?

All this speculation and rumors of course. We don’t even know who the three stand-alone films will feature, officially. The only person who knows the truth is Lawrence Kasdan. Personally, I think Joe Johnston (Captain America, The Rocketeer) should get a shot at directing the Boba Fett movie. He did co-create the character and has spoken of the want to do a Boba Fett movie for years.

I'm not sure Boba Fett can carry a movie, but I'm sure that I'd see it.

As long as they get the old voice, not the dumb Clone voice, and I am there.

Hugo Weaving for Boba Fett! Never remove the helmet. Have his throat get stranged or injured at the beginning, to explain why he sounds different.

I love all things Star Wars, but a Boba Fett movie?

I'm just not feeling it.

Why the need to explain the voice. Just understand that it's nearly 30 years later and another actor is playing him. I mean, c'mon he said, what, 2 sentences anyway.

I still what was so great about him anyway, he's only a small part of the movies anyway.

Manu Bennett as Boba Fett.

Will it be a prequel story? If is I'm not interested. We've been the prequel route before. It would be pointless considering the ridiculous way he was killed in RotJ. The only way a Boba Fett movie would work if it opens with a flashback to the Sarlacc pit. There's an explosion and he flies out or crawls out. And Slave One lands nearby and he's rescued by a young boy and a medical droid. Flash forward and the young boy has grown up to take up the mantle of the new Boba Fett.

I'll totally see a Boba Fett movie! Besides, I think that the big news here is that Kasdan is writing it.

That's sounds excellent if Johnston could shoot the movie!

But as people have asked: will it be a prequel or contemporary to the new trilogy? Do we get Temura Morrison back as the Fett? If its younger I vote for Jason Momoa. By Morrison's appearance I would think they would have to go with another actor of Polynesian background.

Mamoa is waaay too big, Manu wold be perfect!
