Kate Walsh (Grey's Anatomy) has signed on the dotted line and will join John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson in the Dimension Films' big screen Stephen King adaptation 1408.

Cusack will play a debunker of paranormal occurrences who encounters real terror when he checks into the notorious Room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel. Walsh plays his ex-wife and the mother of his young daughter.

The film is set to be filmed this summer in the U.K. via director Mikael Hafstrom (Derailed).

I've always been a fan of Cusack and will pretty much see anything he does. Hopefully the King curse doesn't strike this film.

Don`t agree with what? It was a Sam L.Jackson joke. I really like John Cusack. He is one of my favorite actors. Pushing Tin, Grosse Pointe Blank, High Fidelity. The movie where he holds the radio above his head, Say...

wessmith... I agree with you on pretty much seeing anything with John Cusack in it. Even his romantic comedies (the one's I've seen because of my wife) are pretty good too (. I'm not one for seeing rom-com's but he picks good projects with good scripts. I believe Matthew McConaughey is the same way in the same type of movies... he makes them watchable.

Cusack is the man and Sam Jackosn kicks ass even if he plays in some shitty movies.

I like Sam jackson and I like Cusack - I have no idea who this Walsh lady is, but I do know that Stephen King's movie fall into the "what a great movie" (shawshank) or the "what a piece of crap" (that rose movie) categories

jwesty...I must admit I'm a big fan of romantic comedies. I grew up watching the Hepburn/Tracy, Hudson/Day and Grant/insert leading lady movies and I have a huge fondness for them. Cusack's "romcoms" remind me a lot of those old movies. Plus, I always get bonus points with my girl if I suggest we go see one, and bonus points are a good thing to redeem during football season!

wessmith... no doubt. I agree with you on the points thing. With you having mentioned the classic rom-com's, have you seen 'Down with Love'? It stars Renee Zelwegger and Ewan McGregor... it's a great throw-back to those movies of old that you mentioned.
