Katsucon - Part 2

Due to re-scheduling, representatives from both A.D. Vision and Media
Blasters were at the Industry Showcase originally slated only for Media
Blasters. A.D. Vision representatives Matt Greenfield and David Williams along
with John Sirabella of Media Blasters were a few of the main speakers.

Rurouni Kenshin TV - Media Blasters:

In probably the biggest revelation of the convention, Media Blasters has
announced IT WILL NOT PRODUCE ANY SUBTITLED TAPES OF RUROUNI KENSHIN due to
the costs involved compared to the amount they sell

Media Blasters has committed itself to release its RK DVD's on the same
day as its dubbed VHS tapes; ONLY THE DVD'S WILL HAVE SUBTITLES

They will attempt to release 8 episodes a month, possibly in story arcs;
currently they have no release date, but they state they have just started
production of the dubs

Rurouni Kenshin OAV - A.D. Vision

The Rurouni Kenshin OAV series DVD's will not see a same day release
as its VHS counterparts; however, the subtitled and dubbed tapes will see a
same day release, which is scheduled for sometime this summer

After the showcase, ADV representatives stayed and gave out door prizes.
DVD's of their titles, like Legend of Crystania, Battle Angel, and
Ninja Resurrection were given out.
