Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that 'TMNT' director Kevin Munroe has signed on to direct the long-gestating 'Dylan Dog' movie.
Munore had previously been attached to the 'Gatchaman' film, that was to be produced by Imagi, the people behind the awesome Turtles revival. According to their report, Munroe will not be helming that project after all.
The site also confirms what Comics2Film reported last October: Brandon Routh has officially signed to play the lead in the movie.
'Dylan Dog' comics originated in Italy and have most recently been reprinted in the U.S. by Dark Horse. Platinum Studios has long been involved with the film version of the character. There has been some talk in 2004 of the film being an all-CGI creation, which would seem to dovetail with Munroe's involvement in it.
Cameras are set to roll in July in Toronto.
