I think Disney wanted thier own animation people working on Spectacular Spiderman. Wolverine and the X-men also got canceled too. So don't be surprised if an Ulitimate X-Men show is in the offing.

That sucks I really liked the Spectacular Spider-man!

Only fault was Kraven as a animal, but other than that they had decent stories and the characters were spot on. Especially Spidey.

P709 I agree!

I second dragon261's opinion regarding the cancellation of Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolvie & the X-Men.  As time goes on, and the opportunity for licensing contracts to be cancelled or revoked arises, Marvel/Disney will slowly but surely re-establish their rights to use their own characters in movies and on tv.

In the end, this will work out better for us, the fans.  The complicated splintering of Marvel's characters to different license owners has prevented cross-overs on the various series and movies that might otherwise have occured.  The most recent Marvel movie, Planet Hulk, was forced to keep Reed Richards and Black Bolt as sillouettes, and completely omitted Professor Xavier.  Silver Surfer was replaced with Beta Ray Bill as well.

"in an epic of Douchery actually quoted yourself"

I'm going to keep that on going, because I agree and it was hilarious. Kick-Ass was a quality movie and in my opinion there wasn't any more violence in it than any other action movie. The only difference is that its a little 12 year old girl killing people. No one minded it in Kill Bill. That chick with the ball and chain was pretty young. She just didn't curse like a HuntsPoint Hooker.

So looking forward to Iron Man 2. Even better that it comes out here a week earlier on the 30th.

With just $7.5 million on Friday, Kick-Ass is a certified bust........Yeah....awesome......HYPE!!!!!!

Kick-Ass will be a hit. Albeit, a slow one. Word of mouth will propel this film. People are seeing this movie two and three times. Mark my words, this flick has legs. When it's all said and done, it will have done enough numbers to warrent a sequel.

Zombieland had a comparable opening weekend to Kick-Ass, and that film was ultimately a big success.  I saw it on Thursday, and it wasn't just hype.  It was truely awesome.

My wife did not want to see Kick Ass at all but ended up enjoying it immensely.  She's telling all her Facebook friends to go and see it.  I think it will have legs at the box office as well.  It will get great word of mouth, similar to How to Train Your Dragon.

Can't wait for IM2, that movie will own the summer.
