Kidman to Trot Globe in WONDER

20th Century Fox has picked up the pitch THE EIGHTH WONDER for Nicole Kidman to star in and produce.

The story centers on an archeological discovery that sets off a globe-spanning race. Simon Kinberg (MR & MRS. SMITH) will write the script this fall.

Laurence Mark is also attached to produce the film whose goal is "create a movie that will be to Raiders of the Lost Ark what the Bourne movies are to James Bond movies: a character-driven, treasure-hunting thriller."

Kinberg most recently did a rewrite on Night at the Museum 2  and Warner Bros.' Sherlock Holmes. He also is working on a new adaptation of The Osterman Weekend.
