Variety reports that The CW will shutter its Kids WB! Saturday morning block at the end of the 2007/2008 season. After that 4Kids, which used to fuel Fox's Saturday morning toons, will take over.
Under the five-year pact, 4Kids will program five hours of children's programming between 7 a.m. and noon on Saturdays on the CW starting September 2008. 4Kids will handle all national commercial advertising, and will share in ad revenue with the CW. The CW's share will be applied against a guarantee 4Kids will pay the net.
With current shows like 'The Batman' and 'Legion of Super Heroes' and upcoming titles like 'The Spectacular Spider-Man' and 'World of Quest', the Kids WB! has been a rich outlet for comics adaptations.
