KING OF THE HILL heads for a ninth outing

Fox's animated sitcom KING OF THE HILL has been picked up for a ninth season. While the show is preparing to enter its eighth season this fall, the network has given the order for another season's worth of episodes to ensure they can be created in time for the 2004-2005 schedule.

Hank Hill and his Texas family just released their first season on DVD earlier this year and the program continues to be a syndication champ for Fox. Also good news for Fox is the word that this year's ratings are slightly up compared to the previous season.
