It appears that Sir Ben Kingsley is not done with the Marvel Universe yet. In a recent interview, with the belfast Telegraph, he recently dropped the news that he has a secret Marvel project in the works.

"It's a secret Marvel project. I'm not allowed to say any more, you're going to have to wait and see," he said.

"I was with many members of the crew that were involved in Iron Man 3. It was lovely to see them again. It was great to be with this wonderful family," he continued.

"I think they have enormous taste as creative artists. There's nothing lazy or gratuitous about their work. They are at the top of their game, and they're great company to keep," he added.

What could this project be? Will the Mandarin return only to reveal that it was all ruse and he was indeed the mastermind behind EXTREMIS? Will it be a Marvel One-Shot that sets up another story? It’s strange to have Kingsley return, despite the cool factor that he is. If this is a one-shot why not have it as a bonus feature for the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray? Perhaps, this is something for the Captain America: Winter Soldier home release?

I bet its a one-shot of some kind. From the way he's talking he has already done the work so it must have been a short shoot.

Trevor Slatery FTW!  The short is him banging chics, smoking weed and drinking while he waits for his next audition of another Marvel villain.

I liked Ben Kingsley's performance. But I sincerely hope it's a nod to the real Mandarin somehow.

God I hope they use this opportunity to erase the disaster they created in IM3.

So we will get to see Sir Ben Kingsley take more stinky craps on the big screen? Awesome. I'm actually surprised they don't sell a poster of the Kingsley Mandarin sitting on a toilet.

He put the rings in his bum and forgot all about them!

Please no. Please just go away. The Mandarin from IM3 was the WORST plot twist in the last 10 years at least.

I wanted the real Mandarin really bad but I thought the plot twist was genius. I understand the fans having a hard time accepting the change from the comics, I've been through that myself :)

Really intrigued to see what they're doing with Ben

Yeah, Wise. I liked the twist, too. Although, I wanted the real Mandarin complete with the rings and at least a nod to Fing Fang Foom, what they did added something cool, in its own right, to the movie.

Yes, the twist was good, but the vat majority of people are really upset they took a really serious, very touchy villain and subject matter and not only trivialized it but made it really and largely in existent.  That's actually been my biggest problem with the Iron Man movies, the villains. Iron Man has some really interesting and powerful villains they've gone out their way to ignore.  I remember prior to the first everyone wondered who the villain would be.  Ken Wantanabe was just coming off Batman Begins and some were hoping he'd be cast as the Mandarin.  They ultimately did well with Iron Monger, but the same questions came up for Iron Man 2.  At THAT time, I actually remember looking at a fan site where they put a percentage of likelihood of who the next villain would be.  Whiplash and Justin Hammer both were tied for the lowest at 5%.

With great storylines like Demon In the Bottle, Civil War/Iluminati, Armored Wars, fans were hoping to see glimpses of these and integrating the villains.  We got them in a way, but no Crimson Dynamo, no Titanium Man, no Firepower, AIM and the Mandarin finally showed up but neither were really what a lot of people hoped they'd be.

I just see that, despite as good as the movies are, there were some opportunities that they left on the table.  I just hope they make up for it by actually giving the fans a REAL Mandarin.
