Ahh, the possibilities...
Frankly, I'd love to see Darkseid go after Galactus (especially when "The Big G" starts thinking that Apocalips (sic) looks like a tasty next meal). Or, send Doctor Strange against Eterigan (The Demon) to see who's magic wins the day. Another fun one would be Doctor Doom vs Brother Blood (winner gets loser's country to put under his boot).
How about Psimon vs Professor Xavier in a psi-war to end all psi-wars? Superman vs Magneto (Man of Steel vs Master of Magnetism)? Empath (Hellions) vs Phobia (Society of Sin)? Joker and Harley Quinn against The Kingpin (with Anthony Scarcapelli and Donna Omicido now in Tartarus, KP will just have to go it alone)?
However, withing their respective universes, there await some battles never before concieved.
In the DC Universe, my nominee for the "Mother Of All Battles" would be:
Darkseid vs Trigon The Terrible!
And in the Marvelverse,
Doctor Strange Vs Loki
Just a bit of grain for the mill here...let's see what bakes up!

Considered one of the most dangerous characters in the Marvelverse, it will remain to see if Disney will clip our hero's claws (since they bought Marvel) in order to turn him "Mouse-Style" kid-friendly.
I've followed Wolverine's career (starting out as a villain in "The Incredible Hulk"), and the metamorphasis he has undergone (several, in fact) is what keeps our favorite Man of Adamantium fresh and vital. Though a tough, "hell-on-wheels" type that would scare "Demo Dickey" Marchinko (aka The Rogue Warrior) out of his wits, Logan does, indeed, have a gentle side that he reveals to very few.
He typifies the personality type of:
"51% Teddy Bear--49% Pizzed Off Grizzly Bear...DON'T PUSH IT!"
Like I said, however, the Disney folks now own the Marvelverse...and time will tell what, indeed will become of not only Logan, but also Magneto, Galactus, Sabretooth, Juggernaught, and other "bad boys" in the Marvelverse.

In the first tale, it was the Kraken that Perseus fought-and-killed to win the day. The main villain was Calibos, who got zapped by Zeus for eating all but one of the Pegasi. And btw, the mechanical owl's name is NOT "Boo-Boo," but Bubo! The owl is sacred to Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom and defensive warfare. When Zeus commanded Athena to give Perseus Bubo, she had Hesphasteus build a clockwork copy in his smithy and ship it to Perseus.
The second tale (the current movie) is much different from the first--and not that accurate. I do not recall in the Greek legends that Hades planned to lead a revolt of the underworld against the Olympians to begin with. Plus, the Legend of Perseus was about rescuing Andromeda from the Kraken (after Cassopiea, the Queen of Joppa and Andromeda's mom,, dared say that her beauty was greater than Thetis' (Posideon's wife, and the Goddess of the Sea), Thetis demanded that Andromeda be sacrificed to the Kraken as atonement).
And btw, in the Greek legends, Persus ends up dumping Andromeda, reasons unknown! What a heel!
