Seriously?
Last time I checked. Chun Li didn't resemble a fence post. Is KK gonna wear prosthetic thighs?

This just might prove to be a bigger piece of crap than Van Damme's SF was. In fact, it already IS a bigger steamer with this news. ugh. Tom Welling looks more like Chun Li than KK.
I just lost anything resembling interest in this soon-to-be turd

So, she'll have to bulk up like Linda Hamilton in TERMINATOR 2. And be as skilled as Carrie-Ann Moss in MATRIX.

WHAT!? WTF!!?? WHYYYYYYY?????

Lana Lang = Chun Li? Never! Have these people seen Smallville? I wonder how from that they got her to be Chun Li. Please, this will definitely be worse than Van Damme's version. Not only is the casting horrible, the chic from Mission Impossible 3 would've been better, but why are they making a movie about Chun LIi?

If they want to get a Street Fighter movie right what they gotta do is:

Open the film with Gougetsu training Akuma and Gouken and show both sides of the martial arts that Ryu will eventually learn. They can show Akuma leaning towards the dark side and Gouken the other. They can have Akuma fight and kill Goegetsu and then Gouken can fight Akuma beat him, let him live and go and open his own dojo and adopt baby Ryu.
The movie can then turn to Ryu and Ken's training and all the events that will lead up to the tournament and Ryu's eventual showdown with Sagat.
Prior to the last fight they can show Akuma again visiting his Gouken, fighting and killing him, so when Ryu beats Sagat he learns about his master's death at the hands of Akuma and this sets up perfectly for a sequel.

That is a horrible picture. She is way hotter than that, but still I'm not sure she is worthy to kick ace. They tried on Smallville and I always thought it looked poorly done.

Acting aside, they cast nationality perfect.

Kristin is of Chinese/Canadian (French Canadian) descent, I believe -
and Chun Li is of Chinese and French descent. CORRECTION: KK's Chinese and Dutch. Eh, close enow - mixed Asian and European.

Acting talent - eh, my Street Fighter love is long forgotten, but I have fond memories. Chun Li was my character I played. I like KK well enough (course, at the time, I like Van Damme too) and will give this about the hope that I gave Mortal Kombat initially - and hope I'm just as surprised.

I'll probably check it out.

ALSO - checked IMDB, she's a Purple Belt. Ok, not TERRIBLY impressive, sure, but makes it easier for her to look somewhat competent I'd wager. I'll admit I don't know (and couldn't find in a 5 minute search) what a purple belt means.

I just hope her journey for justice brings her 'round Boston.

LOL Joey!!!
if she's on a journey for justice, they should have cast her in the JLA movie and given her some motivation.
seriously though, even the Street Fighter anime movies are pretty worthless too... every time CAPCOM sets out to make anything on this franchise (that isnt a videogame) it tanks and tanks hard.
Why Streetfighter ...again? WHY? at least the Mortal Kombat flicks are mildly entertaining... well the first one was.
