I did a net search on belt rankings and they must have changed the system. I took Tae- Kwon-Do lessons at a Chuck Norris school years ago. I checked out some belt rankings listed via Google and many of the ranks have been altered. Looks like she may be ranked higher than I thought, but that would make her a mid-ranged martial artist, mid-ranged meaning...well under black belt that is.

Hey, I'm sure seeing a film with Morpheus's story might be nice but Neo's story is the most important, know what I mean. Revenge flicks have been done many times and look how well Kill Bill turned out. Original ideas left are rare so Who cares if it's been done many times, Ryu's story still rocks much more than Chun Li's. Hence why he's the lead in every Street Fighter made. Have you seen any of the Manga films??? I suggest you watch Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie or Street Fighter Alpha if you haven't yet. An Akuma vs. Ryu fight alone is worth the price of admission. It's not like Chun LI's story hasn't been done before. Police Officer tracking down a crime syndication. Not only that, but we already got glimpse's of that story with the original Street Fighter film. Chun Li's story will bring back M.Bison as the main villain and probably Guile helping her out, again we've already seen them, although they were pretty sad encarnations so a fresh take on those characters is more than welcomed. With Ryu you can go the STreet Fighter Alpha route and have Akuma as the main villain, Ryu dealing with the violent nature of the martial arts he practices, manifested in the game with Evil Ryu. You could bring Rose, Gen, Sakura, Charlie, Birdie into the film. New characters we haven't seen yet. If they want to go with more familiarity they can still use characters from the original Street Fighter 2 and still make it work. They can Explore the Ryu & Ken relationship, the death of Ryu's master at the hands of Akuma, etc etc. There is a lot of material to make a good Street Fighter film centered on Ryu. They can even introduce Sheng Long, the rumored new character and probable main villain in the new Street Fighter IV game coming out next year. If they choose to go more like the animated film, they can still have Chun Li's story as a side story with the main one dealing with M.Bison and Ryu. I don't know what's up with Capcom, Ryu needs his own film. He's been there guy in all the anime, games and tv series but no live action. My only hope is that this movie does well and ends with a chance for a sequel having to do with Ryu.

I could careless about this video game movie, which like so many others, is certain to go nowhere. She needs a job, and this is it. Hopefully gaining the lead role in this movie will lead to other and better roles for my future baby's momma.

Metal, if this film goes nowhere how is that going to help her out to get future jobs?.....You should be rooting for the film to do well so you can live off her instead of the other way around if the film bombs :)

Hanso, let me tell you how this is gonna go down. Some producer may see this movie, what is sure to be a piece of trash, on cable, and say..."Mmmmm, she's sexy and makes a good lead--I'll cast her as the female lead in my next film...and my wife in real life." That's how I'd do it...Steven Spielberg style.

As an FYI, I took my info on the Taekwondo belt order from the American Taekwondo Association. I don't know how standardized the promotion order is for that art, but I assumed a fairly large number of American schools probably have something to do with that organization. Perhaps that is not true. According to their website, however, purple is the sixth belt. Regardless, being told she's a purple belt does not mean anything without mentioning the style she is studying. I still think it's better than someone who doesn't have any training at all.

I tend to try and not watch Kristin or look at her pics as I have a habit of just going ga-ga over her. TO me, she is the perfect woman. You cannot tell, but I stopped writing and stared at the pic for 12 minutes. Wow, she has me mesmerized! The ONLY reason I would watch this, is to see her in tight clothes and kicking things. Wow, I sound like a pig....oh well. She is beautiful.......too beautiful. LOL

I'm with Hanso. Why don't they just make a movie about Ryu. He is the main character. And once you get him out the way then you take on secondary characters like... Hmmm. KEN! And some where down the line you get Chun Li. She was one of my favorite characters to play in the game but she is not the star. And For crying out loud. Girls are not going to go see the movie so they should stop trying to make it seem girl friendly. Women in most part hate action movies. So why put a woman in the lead of an Action movie, even in Resident Evil she wasn't the main focus of those films. Which mostly men went to. Hollywood learn your lessons stop making action movies that no one wants to see. And Raul Julia was good in the first Street Fighter movie. He was the only thing good about that movie.

Now this is the SF movie I want to see... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8017860335633560782&q=street fighter&total=32457&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=3

I don't understand why this happening. 20th Century Fox is taking a big risk with this. There either needs to be better producing or this is going not do too well at the box office. Why focus just on Chun Li? This looks too experimental. I've always had huge interest in Street Fighter when I was younger and saw what potential it had for a fighting game. When the first movie came out, it didn't do very well because it boring and campy. Now after all these years with a different studio and cast in place, this looks like a straight to video type of movie. I am very dissapointed.
