How Much is TOO Much? - Jul 18, 2007 - 11:14am
I'm split. On one hand, if you have information and feel like sharing it with the world, do so and include a SPOILER WARNING as everyone else has mentioned so far. However, do not be a jerk about it and force it on people. Those who want to spoil it for themselves can, and those who want to wait and be surprised should be able to.
On the other hand, I feel bad for the filmmakers. Filmmaking is about bringing a new experience to audiences. Part of the reason most people become filmmakers is because they love creating and they love making people feel like they just experienced something they never experienced before.
I feel sometimes that spoilers ruin it for the filmmakers because they can't surprise audiences if we already know what's going to happen. Who knows, it may even get to the point where the filmmakers we want to keep seeing won't want to make movies anymore because we aren't letting them give us that experience.
I also feel that spoilers make the movie worse for the people that read them. If you know so much about the movie before seeing it, of course you won't enjoy it as much; OF COURSE you're going to come out feeling, "that didn't really do anything for me."
Maybe that's where so many complaints about movies being irrelevant are coming from.

There are five puzzle games in all. If you e-mail the address on the site (van@ethanhaaswasright.com), I think he sends you an e-mail back with clues on how to beat the puzzles. Or you can cheat and look 'em up on Google.
I think I got them all. Number 9 is the only one I'm still not 100% on.
