Neil Arnold is one of Britain’s leading and well-respected full-time seekers of mysterious animals and monstrous beasts – a cryptozoologist, in other words.
The author of such well-received books as Monster! and The Mystery Animals of the British Isles: Kent, Neil has devoted many a year to chasing down reports of big-cats on the loose in his home-county of the aforementioned Kent.
In addition, he has investigated sightings of Bigfoot-type beasts in the woods of England; carefully studied encounters with British equivalents of the United States’ legendary Mothman that was made famous in the 2002 movie, The Mothman Prophecies; and pursued countless other weird British beasts by both day and night.
And, now, the highly-industrious Neil has a brand new, exciting venture that is just about ready to be unveiled, I’m very pleased to say.
Beginning on the evening of Monday February 8 -  and specifically from 7:30pm to 9:30pm - Neil will be conducting a series of what are described as Monster Walks around select and key parts of the city of London, England, and specifically those places where mysterious creatures have been seen roaming by terrified eye-witnesses.
With the welcome assistance of the good people at London Paranormal, who run regular and successful ghost- and history-based walks throughout Britain’s capital-city, the London-based Monster Walks will see Neil introduce to those who dare brave the monstrous tours a true menagerie of strange beasts and unknown animals that may be found within the shadowy and darkened depths of the concrete jungle. The tour will stop off at various points throughout the city, many of which are graphically ornamented with monstrous, old images - and with each image a fantastic and memorable story will be applied.
And, I urge anyone and everyone who may one day find themselves in the city of London – and who may have a fascination with the strange creatures that secretly live alongside us – to sign-up for one of the Monster Walks.
Indeed, you most certainly will not be disappointed at all: Neil will be revealing his wide and varied knowledge of the mighty and mysterious serpents that haunt London’s dark and deep waters; of exotic big cats prowling around the city; of flying monsters such as the legendary griffins of centuries-past; of giant fish; of out-of-place marauding bears; of phantom hell-hounds of the type described within the pages of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles; and of many other animal-oddities that have been sighted and encountered throughout the capital and across the decades.
Neil will also be speaking on the tour about the notorious and infamous blood-sucking vampire of the city’s Highgate Cemetery; the strange and near-unearthly black-garbed terror of the night that became known across the country as Spring-Heeled Jack; as well as the weird story behind London’s very own “mermaid” hoax.
Without any shadow of doubt: a very surreal and adventurous safari indeed. That’s right: just when you thought it was safe to not go in the woods, the Monster Walks of London will bring the beasts of the capital into the very heart of the streets.
After all this, London may never be quite the same again…
