La-La Land presents the official, studio-endorsed CD release of Dominic Frontiere’s iconic score to the classic 1968 MGM western Hang ‘Em High, starring Clint Eastwood and directed by Ted Post. Sony Special Products had previously released the soundtrack, combined with Morricone’s Guns for San Sebastian in 1991, but that release has fallen out of print. La-La Land’s release has been remastered from the original album master tapes. The score, popularized by its iconic main theme which became a top 40 hit from Hugo Montenegro
Also included in this special Limited Edition release is Frontiere’s sumptuous score to 1985’s dramatic adventure The Aviator, starring Christopher Reeve and Rosanna Arquette and directed by George Miller. This presentation of Frontiere’s soaring score contains some previously unreleased cues that were not included in the previous Varese Sarabande soundtrack CD. The CD’s BONUS TRACKS take us back to Frontiere’s west with two never-before-released cues from 1970’s Barquero starring Warren Oates and Lee Van Cleef. CD Booklet contains exclusive liner notes written by yours truly and include new interview material with Frontiere. This is a Limited Edition pressing of 3000 Units.
