His days at 1313 Mockingbird Lane are over. Now Eddie Izzard will join the cast of NBC’s Hannibal for a guest role. The star of Valkyrie and The Riches “will play an inmate at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Izzard’s character is claiming to be “the infamous Chesapeake Ripper”, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Hannibal is slated for a mid season premiere, but there is still no release date for the series.
The plot: Hannibal explores the early relationship the renowned psychiatrist and his patient, a young FBI criminal profiler, who is haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers.
There series was created by Bryan Fuller based on the novel “Red Dragon” by Thomas Harris.
