KNIGHT RIDER: A Knight in Shining Armor - Sep 26, 2008 - 04:57am
I thought it was ok and my kids,11 and 13 (ages not names), loved it. Well, there is your audience. When I was a kid there were more shows that were just great garbage on, like Dukes of Hazard. TV is missing this now. Not everything has to be a Lost or Heroes.

10 Memorable Film Deaths by Non-Memorable Characters - Jul 31, 2008 - 05:15am
One of the best ones that I remember occurred at the beginning of Glory. The union army was charging across the battle field and at least one guy got his head taken clean off by a canon ball. After that battle scene the director didn't have to express the horror of civil war battles through the rest of the movie. It was implied...

TV Wasteland: The Greatest American Hero Flies Again, or Not. - Jun 16, 2008 - 06:06am

New Poster and Update for MUMMY 3 - Apr 30, 2008 - 05:21am
I still feel seperation anxiety from my money following The Mummy II. I'll see this one if someone pays for my ticket, pays for the time I will lose from my life while sitting through the movie, and pain and suffering for the crap that they threw together and called the last movie.

New Featurette for Bond's SOLACE - Mar 20, 2008 - 05:08am
I have to say, this is the first Bond movie in a very long time that I have truly been looking forward to. While it had a few issues found Casino Royale very refreshing.

Joes Are Patriotic, Black Panther Trilogy & More Supes! - Mar 07, 2008 - 04:46am
After watching JLA: The New Frontier I think it is a good thing for a JLA story to limit the amount of Supes and Bats. This was a good story and it focused well on the other characters to the betterment of the film. If they want to do a Supes/Bats movie they should. I hope this JLA thing will not be mostly a venue for a Supes/Bats team-up.

Rice-A-Roni To Save JOURNEYMAN - Dec 17, 2007 - 06:57am
It took a bit of time, but Journey man really grew on me. In the begining it got a bit to bogged down in the present day mellow dramatic story line.

Plot Details for Fantasy ARCANUM - Dec 10, 2007 - 06:47am
Sounds like League of Extraodinary Gentleman type thing, but with non-fictional sources. Just hope it's a bit more Extraodinary or at least less crappy.

Opening the Black Dossier: The Alan Moore Interview, Part Two - Nov 14, 2007 - 07:20am

Josh Lucas Searches For TELL-TALE HEART - Nov 07, 2007 - 06:38am
Ok, so in other words this has nothing to do with Poe's story at all....

Adrian Paul Battles Piracy as CAPTAIN DRAKE - Nov 02, 2007 - 07:20am
I hope Dazzler's comment was in jest. Highlander: The Source was terrible. I actually kind of liked Roanoke in a cheeseball kind of way, but that is it.

Frank Langella Gives Mysterious BOX - Oct 12, 2007 - 07:07am
Cameron Diaz... Mysterious Box... To easy.

JOURNEYMAN: Pilot - Sep 26, 2007 - 07:16am
I also disagree with this review. It was not great, but it was not close to bad. I think that it got bogged down in setting up the premise for the rest of the series. The story in the past was poor, and the overall idea is still somewhat of a mystery (why he journeys). I would give this first episode a C or C+ and expect better things now that they got past the pilot.

Checkov is Cast for STAR TREK XI - Aug 08, 2007 - 06:54am
Both Chekov and Sulu were much younger then Kirk and the others.

Disney Bans SMOKING From Movies - Jul 26, 2007 - 07:08am
There are other things that are just as dangerous as smoking that should also be banned from movies. It is dangerous to drive a car over the speed limit. I think car chase scenes should be nixed. Guns... No more shoot outs please. Over Eating... please do not show a family sitting down to Thanksgiving or X-Mass dinner. Also, there are a lot of pollutants in the air these days...

My Thoughts on FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER - Jun 20, 2007 - 10:40am
Sinister, Flash is not being canceled, only renumbered.

Magneto Helmet Replica from X-MEN III - Jun 07, 2007 - 09:16am
Cool, I've been waiting for this. Now that mind reading pain in the ass boss of mine will have to guess when I'm screwing around, instead of reading my mind.

McTiernan is set to RUN - May 23, 2007 - 07:05am
The movie: RUNS The action thriller centers on Interpol agent who, while pursuing a murder suspect through Mexico City, drinks some of the local water.

Johnson Talks GORDON - May 23, 2007 - 07:02am
Flash Gordon is campy. I'm not saying that this is bad, but it is a fact. The only way this can be successful is if the campyness can be done well. Some people think that the last Flash Gordon movie was good, others thought it was bad. But, it did not take itself at all seriously, and worked fairly well for that.

Exploding Heads: My Thoughts on 52 - May 23, 2007 - 06:57am
Regarding the StarWars comics comments... I definitly see what you mean regarding things like Rebellion, but I actually like Legacy and Knights of the Old Republic.

Dead Man's Chest Limited Edition Replica - May 16, 2007 - 07:24am
But really... Who buys this stuff.

Does Whatever a Mailbag Can - May 16, 2007 - 07:22am
Regarding the question about whether or not Marvel Adventures Avengers is any good: I buy all of the Marvel Adventure titles for my kids. The fact is that most (and I mean most) comic books are not appropriate for younger kids anymore. I grew up on this stuff and I would like my kids to enjoy the medium also without having to put up with crap like TeenTitans Go! The Marvel Adventures books are not bad.

Heroes: Landslide - May 16, 2007 - 07:12am
Is Ando Hiro's "own heart"?

T-800 Endoskeleton 1:1 Scale Replica - May 15, 2007 - 06:55am
Dang, and here my budget for full sized replicas is $5945.00. I can only go higher if the thing doubles as a home security system.

Production gets underway on "The Dark Is Rising" - Mar 06, 2007 - 06:12am
I'm not saying that this movie will be any good, but Ithink it is a stretch to say it sounds like "Warlock". I just hope that it sucks considerably less then Warlock did.

Lena Headey talks "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" - Mar 05, 2007 - 07:13am
When was the last time someone in an upcoming pilot said, "I think this is pretty bad, but I'm hoping it will work out."

"Gremlins 3" is Direct to Video? - Feb 07, 2007 - 07:55am
Goonies 2??? Do they know how old those guys are?

"Heroes: Distractions" - Feb 07, 2007 - 07:26am
***Spoiler*** Incase you haven't watched it. While I did think this was another good episode, I am concerned that they are creating too much of a microcosm, this meaning that all of the players are too attached to one another in off the wall ways. First Hiro and Nikki are connected because his friend is in love with Nikki though her porn site. Nikki and Nathan became connected when they hooked up in Vegas. Nathan and Hiro happen to meet when Nathan lands at a diner that Hiro is at. Peter and Isaac hook up over a love triangle. Peter, Hiro, and Isaac all are trying to save Claire. All of this I was able to deal with without having to suspend my disbelief. But, now it just so happens that Nathan is Claireâ??s father. This is just a bit much. I found myself for the first time saying, â??This is just stupidâ??. I really like the show, but I hope it is not going to become this contrived thing where they just keep trying to throw curve balls to keep up some sense of â??Wow Factorâ??.

"Indiana Jones 4" coming May 22, 2008 - Feb 06, 2007 - 07:04am
Indiana Jones and the Enlarged Prostate of Doom

J.J. Abrams may not direct "Star Trek XI" - Feb 05, 2007 - 07:40am
I just heard that they have signed William Shatner to direct the film.... ;o)

"Star Trek" Comic to be released in Klingon - Jan 31, 2007 - 07:14am
I just hope they have some art work better then that piece of crap (The space between) put out last month. If they would lik I can get my 4year old to do it. That would be an improvement.

"Battlestar Galactica: Taking a Break from All Your Worries" - Jan 30, 2007 - 06:32am
I didn't dislike this episode as much as Mr. Lackey. I would have given it a C+. But compared to almost all of the other episodes it was pretty bad. I am sick to death of the Apollo/Starbuck storyline, and I think that if they continue with it the show will flounder. I have heard that a major character will be killed off (news article in Mania). I actually said to my wife that I hoped it would be one of them so that this terrible arc could just go away. It is the same thing that is killing Smallville (although that show was never in the same league as BSG).

"Heroes'" Sylar is Misunderstood? - Jan 29, 2007 - 07:01am
Regarding Sylar's power, I had tought that his power was simply to figure out how things work. Clocks, the cell, etc. When he kils someone (opens them up?) he figures out how to use their powers. I could be wrong, but that is what they seemed to insinuate in the "Six Months Earlier" episode.

"Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Space Between" #1 - Jan 26, 2007 - 02:11pm
Usually I can enjoy a story, even a so so one, despite mediocre art. This was just terrible. Here we have a so so stroy with art that was so utterly bad that it hurt to read it. Why do this to a franchise that still has potential in this medium?

Rogue acquires "Couriers" - Jan 22, 2007 - 06:36am
I think that many believe this to be true. Film makers in general (not all) do not believe in character driven stories anymore. Films have lost the subtleties that made them interesting. Look at the difference between the first (for the most part) and the latest Star Wars trilogies. In addition, many comments appear here that state (quite truly) that there is no originality left. Most movies are remakes of others, or premature rushed books/comic books that are brought to the screen because of the potential use of effects and a "cool" idea. But, either what was truly good about the original stories are lost, or they do not translate well to screen. Eragon is a good example of this. This was a very well thought out (though not perfect) story. It was butchered when brought to the screen seemingly so they could showcase dragon effects. Anyone else have thoughts?

"Civil War" #6 - Jan 09, 2007 - 12:12pm
Issue 5?!? Issue 6 came out last week and it was late... Let's get on the ball people.
