Star Sigourney Weaver spoke to Cinema Confidential and gave the latest word about a possible ALIEN 5 flick. The last news heard was that Weaver and director Ridley Scott had met and talked about the idea, and it seems not a lot has changed. What is new is how the September 11 terrorist attacks may have altered the concept of focusing the story on Earth.
"In the current atmosphere where there is so much going on on earth, I can understand people wanting to see an adventure that's far away and so I, myself, would love to go and see something happening on another planet," Weaver told Cinema Confidential. "You know, out by Mars or something. But we don't have any definite plans."
