goddamnit I missed it last night

ironically, I ended up watching Twilight after having to bribe a friend (and, more curiously) her mother to be able to borrow the damned thing -- it only cost me The Dresden Files and Final Fantasy Advent Children so they could watch something, because apparently her mom protects the Twilight dvd as if it's her last born child

today I watch "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" for the first time -- hey, it was 5 bucks at Walmart

True Blood's allot more entertaining than Twilight ever was. That whole scene in Twilight I'm too beautiful to come out in the sunlight made me fucking gag. I was better off just re-watching Speed Racer all over again than torture myself in watching anything related to Twilight.

LMAO Nice one matador! I couldnt have put it better myself! True Blood Season finale left us hanging again..cant wait till next year! :)

Oh..almost forgot....TWILIGHT SUCKS ASS!

Stalight, I enjoyed Emily Rose movie. It was a interesting twist on a overused material.  I see you are into bribing people into watching your movie now...hmmm...if you offer cash I might actually take you up on watching the movie.

Michael Sheen & Dakota Fanning are really good actors this might not suck as badly as the first one. Oh who am I kidding it probably will...

Wiseguy 9/14/2009 1:31:54 PM

I think this will be one of the best comedies of the year

sorry I've been gone all day, I know impatient maniacs are hoping to hose and burn me all they wish

guys -- you play to win in this little arguments, and I do not

I cannot for a minute try to change you, as you're all too keen on colliding head on into stone walls

I've no desire to win...or bribe Hobbs (how about a massage hobbs? the misses won't mind)

no sense in playing to win or lose...I combat all the idiocy, the short sidedness, the willful "my show is better than your show, therefore, you suck" bullshit

I could even play the "mine's making lots of money" hand, which doesn't mean anything, or I could even try the appeal to authority....(oh Jarrod! they're laughing at you too!)...but what the hell would that gain me?

so rage on angry young men....I've no pretenses, nor have I a need to prove anything to anyone...no one can reason with someone who just want to be right or better than others, even it is via a silly mythological debate over what is real or not

and you know what? I'm still not convinced Weitz can do this as well as the first director did...

JarrodSarafin 9/14/2009 3:20:05 PM

Hah, continue like you're currently going and don't worry about it, Starlight. God knows we all have our moments. I still laugh it up at all the shit flung my direction for loving Superman Returns but everyone has an opinion on the matter and it's hilarious at times to see the occasional jab my direction on loving that film or some others. It happens. I guess there's some positive in the fact that when our community is insulting each other for liking a certain film, it's a bit more adult. It's a paragraph detailing "Why we suck." and not a single-sentenced insult that you see at some other websites...

And I have some faith that Chris Weitz will do better than Hardwicke did with the first. For one thing, he has the freedom that Catherine did not by way of a $90 million budget and he's somewhat more experienced on a big budget project. More bang for his buck.

Actually, Starlight, this preview looked pretty decent.

I've been on vacation, so I haven't made any progress on my queue, but Twilight is coming up soon...

Btw, do you recommend the books as well, or just the movie?

ponyboy76 9/14/2009 3:29:00 PM

You know what, i thought Twilight pretty much sucked, and it was made even worse when it was explained to me that they cut alot of good stuff out that is in the book.
Saying all that, the only thing that might make me go see this is the werewolves/shapeshifters or whatever they call them in these books. The whole native american backstory appeals to me for some reason. I couldn't care less about Bella? and Edward, which is weird because I actually like vampire love stories. Buffy and Angel, Dracula and Mena, Nick Knight and ?, Cash and  whatever her name was in Kindred the Embraced, even the dude from Moonlight and the reporter. They were all pretty good  doomed love stories, but this one in Twilight doesn't do it for me. go figure
