Plot Summary: Based upon Mark Millar's explosive graphic novel series and helmed by stunning visualist director Timur Bekmambetov--creator of the most successful Russian film franchise in history, the Night Watch series--Wanted tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, the world will be introduced to a hero for a new generation: Wesley Gibson.

25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut.

Until he met a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie).

After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits Wes into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad's death by unlocking his dormant powers. As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself.

With wickedly brilliant tutors--including the Fraternity's enigmatic leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman)--Wes grows to enjoy all the strength he ever wanted. But, slowly, he begins to realize there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one could ever teach him: he alone controls his destiny.

Wanted will hit theaters June 27, 2008.

I think this looks awesome,,,I love visual eye candy and Timur is very creative. I think this will be a hella fun movie.

I think the movie could go either way. It could either be a rip-roarin' good time with guns blazing every which direction, or it could be a complete disaster of near-epic proportions. That Universal moved it from a late March release to the heart of June says they think it's the former, but we will see. I will likely see it because I'm a sucker for the sort of eye candy the movie has, but I don't doubt that it has a potential suck factor.

I know how people are going to come up here and say that it nothing like the source material and all that, which I understand, but really, who cares? That trailer looks pretty damn sweet. What`s great about Angelina is she is totally believable in these types of roles. You don`t look at her and think," that`s stupid, she couldn`t do that" You think "shit, this chick is badass!"
I also like Timur`s visual style. It is very smooth and flows really well in his movies. Its never jagged or out of sync. I`ll definitely see this.

After seeing his work with vehicles in Nightwatch/Daywatch, and these trailers, I'd LOVE to see Timur do a Transformers movie.

ponyboy76, you hit the nail on the head...sometimes it's just good to go to the movies and enjoy a popcorn movie...for all of the fanboys that have the Graphic Novel, we know the truth, but I don't think that's goinig to matter to the average joe who's going to the movie because Angelina Jolie is on screen killing someone again, and Morgan Freeman is in the movie being as cool as an ice cube in the middle of summer...it will be entertaining...that's what it was made for...

This looks like it will be a very cool movie. Not necessarily a great one, but cool. I'm fine with that. Not sure I'm crazy about the "trust your instincts" part. He should have to train to use his abilities.

This looks rediculous. Totally unrealistic, and cartoonish. I can't wait to see it. What the hell is wrong with me.

Hey Surfer, shouldn't all movies be made for entertainment

agreeably diverting or amusing; "an entertaining puppet show"; "films should be entertaining"

Entertainment is an event, performance, or activity designed to give pleasure or relaxation to an audience (although, for example, in the case of a computer game the "audience" may be only one person)

Interesting, amusing.

Entertain \En`ter*tain"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Entertained; p. pr. & vb. n. Entertaining.]

[F. entretenir; entre between (L. inter) + tenir to hold, L. tenere. See Tenable.]

1. To be at the charges of; to take or keep in one's service; to maintain; to support; to harbor; to keep.

Source: Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)

Entertaining \En`ter*tain"ing\, a. Affording entertainment; pleasing; amusing; diverting. -- En`ter*tain"ing*ly, adv. -- En`ter*tain"ing*ness, n.

I kinda don't see the point of saying "this movies could go either way" IMHO all movies can, theres no exception.

And yeh angelina is great i still cant think Nicole Kidman was gonna be on Mr. and Mrs. Smith, i love nicole but i can't picture her doing a good job in that role.

Not to say that this won't be a bad flim but, once again a story line has been changed. The original story line is that assassins are killing off the super heros and winning.
