Awesome; wait...this will be on Fox (head slumps with disappointment).

So...they'll badly mangle the advertising, show it out of order, run it on Friday night, then cancel it halfway through the first season? That about the measure of it? I guess I'll get excited once season two starts, that way I know I won't have the rug pulled out from under me.

Don't place your bet too fast, Chuck about a season 2 being reason for excitement.  Fox also cancelled Terminator SCC and Dollhouse in the second seasons just as they began to find their footing.

This is a cool idea for a show. I'm curious to see how it will be done.

Also curious to see if they will allow it to stay on the air long enough for an audience to collect.

@Readhairs: sure but at least we got more content in those great universes before they were cancelled. And honestly, the only reason Dollhouse got the second season from Fox is because they wanted to avoid a second Firefly style backlash. I miss Dollhouse. :(

We have to remember that in this day and age, it's not just Fox who cancels shows out of nothing, most TV stations now do the same thing.

Sure Fox is the champion for cancelling great shows after 1 or 2 seasons but still...

If they are able to pull it off, it would be nice for them to show the actual characters from the book and not a wussy version.

TLoEG needs to be on HBO/Starz/Showtime for me to care.  Fox already disgraced this series once...how will they possibly portray these characters on network tv??  No way will they do it Jedi...Fox will not make their lead a heroin addicted Quartermain or keep the Invisible man as a rapist.

The guy who ran The River & Heroes? How can this lose!

redhairs99 7/10/2013 11:05:16 AM

Defintely, Dollhouse benefited from Fox's botching of Firefly, no doubt.  Really like Dollhouse too.  Got both season on Blu-ray.  Just meant that even if they get to a season 2, it'll probably be cancelled.  Even SyFy has started doing this with series like Alphas.  Alphas isn't really on par with a Firefly or Dollhouse, but still.  They cancel stuff like that for more ghost hunter/reality/make-up contest/wrestling, etc. rather than continue stuff that actually pertains to their niche programming.

Alec DeLeon.  Nice, Frozen.
