I remember back in high school, English classes (at a French high school) were the best. We had the greatest teachers and read some truly great material. One of them was Fareneheit 451.
Thank you Ray for hooking me to English literature. R.I.P.
He will be missed, but what a legacy he's left behind...Something Wicked This Way Comes is one of my all time favorites.....
Plus one of the best episodes of Twilight Zone was based on his story "I sing the body electric"
Very sad news. I think many of us grew up on Bradbury. One of the greats.
Having read Fahrenheit 451, the Martian Chronicles (which practically blew me away) and Something Wicked This Way Comes, I was grateful to read such books from an author that showed me one can tell amazing stories, and display a prose so rich, it danced along the imagination like a finely tuned and symphonically orchestrated fireworks show. I will have to read his books again. We'll miss you Ray, and Godspeed.
I did a book report on The Martian Chronicles in 9th grade; he's the reason why I like Sci Fi. Thanks for everything Mr. Bradbury!
A sad day for literature. I very much enjoy his work.
