Leterrier Interested in HULK Sequel

This isn't exactly shocking news but director Louis Leterrier has told the media that he's game to do a sequel to The Incredible Hulk. In fact, he's willing to camp outside the Marvel offices and direct any future Marvel film in the near future by what he's saying to CS. As I say, not exactly shocking. Here's what Louis had to say when asked if he's willing...

"I'll do another 'Hulk' movie any day of the week. I love it! I love the character, I love the TV show. I love that he's an anti-hero," Leterrier told us exclusively.

"It starts with a great story and great cast. If you like movies, you'll like 'Hulk,'" he added.

He also complimented Ang Lee's 2003 film while saying his film went a very different direction.

Universal Pictures has the next adaptation of the Marvel superhero hitting theaters this weekend against M.Night Shyamalan's The Happening. Both films will be getting 3,000+ prints to compete against each other and while everyone is expecting The Hulk to win overall, there is some question as to how much each movie will cut into each other in terms of box office performance.

I know Wiseguy aka Kevin Feige has said he's seen a couple of good reviews for the Hulk, I have to add that I have seen a couple also. Looking foward to the Hulk and if it turns out really good then give this guy a shot at the sequel.

Someone in my office told me that Hulk talks in this one. He says stuff like Hulk SMASH and shit. That got me mad apmed up for real LOL. I love how they toned the Hulk up and gave him a darker green then the bright green in the previous one. I am going to check this out Saturday morning for the matinee. No lines no crowds I love it :-)

What if I only like TV shows?

WolfmanX, they've recently let it be known that the voice for the Hulk is being done by Lou Ferrigno which is pretty cool. He did it for one of the cartoon series, didn't he?

The Hulk character has been my favorite before I was able to read, from the television series. So, yeah, I liked Ang Lee's Hulk. I was happy that he finally got to be on the big screen. BUT I'm not ignorant to the mistakes that were made in the movie. After watching it in the theatre I knew a lot of people wouldn't like it, and I could see why. I'm hoping that this version is better. I would like to see more story development and deeper characters, like in the revamped Hulk comics. I've seen the new TV spot (the one with the *SPOILER* in it) and towards the end there's a scene where Dr. Ross suggests to Banner that they take a subway train because it's quikest and he replies, "me in a metal tube with hundreds of people in the most aggresive city in the world?" Then she replies, "you're right. Let's get a cab." HOKEY! Don't get me wrong, I like me some hokey moments but not with this character. Spider-Man is good with the hokey one liners, Robin, The Flash, Nighcrawler, and a couple of others that I can't think of right now are also, but not HULK.
Here's to hoping for a decent movie that does the character justice and not just some vehicle for Marvel to deliver us an Avenger movie.

Then you are screwed Joey. The man said if you like movies, not if you like tv shows. Don't bother watching it cause you'll hate it.

captm0rgan, come on now. It's like Terminator 3 said, levity is good. You need this kind of break in a high octane film like this. I agree with you on Lee's version, I loved it. but I guess it was too somber and dealing with Bruce's demons was too much for some.

I love that the Hulk speaks finally and that Lou is voicing him. If the film turns out as well as I expect you have to give Lou the chance to continue the franchise IMO.*****POSSIBLE ** SPOILER ** RUMOR******Like I said it's a rumor I read so who knows if it's true. But one of the easter eggs may actually be Cap or Steve Rogers prior to becoming Cap. You do need to pay close attention cause it may be a flash only.

Wolfman, no lines or crowds Saturday morning? That's when a lot of parents will be taking their kids. At least that's the way it is where I live. Good luck. I'm prepping for midnight Thursday, gotta be one of the first. If they're doing midnight shows, if not Friday morning.

Midnight thursday is sounding good. I didn't know they were doing that.

I'm pumped.. HULK RULES!!! Second Favorite comic book hero of all time. And i too liked Ang Lee's HULK (by ignoring all the flaws), but i think it went astray from the original story TOO much... i mean with Nick Nolte's character and how his serum (along with gamma radiation) gave him his powers and created the HULK ... that went a little too off track. I thought the CG was great and i thought they portrayed the awesome power of the HULK and made u think he really was invincable... that's important i think, especially for this film. thank you.

almostunbiased, I don't know for sure they're doing it but they do it for most major releases and this qualifies. My local AMC theater hasn't post it yet but other times they've waited until the last day to post it. So I'm working under that assumption. Hell, they did it for the Panda and Zohan last week and the Hulk should be way bigger than those two.

By the way scifipage.com, moviehole.net and rotten tomatoes all have reviews up for anyone interested. Most seem to be embracing if not raving about this new Hulk so it's looking like another winner for Marvel.
