Wise... I'm a fan of Neeson, but I'd rather look at Rihanna any day of the week.
After the two recent flashy casting decisions of R&B singer Rihanna and model Brooklyn Decker, Universal Pictures and director Peter Berg have gone back to the established acting well in tapping Liam Neeson to shore up their sci-fi epic Battleship. Variety reports the actor will play an admiral pivotal to the plot, which is described down below. Loosely based on the Hasbro game, the adventure also stars Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard and Hamish Linklater. Berg is helming from a screenplay by Jon and Erich Hoeber.
Plot Concept: The film's story unfolds as a massive Naval adventure across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Neeson will play the Admiral Shane character alongside Kitsch, who portrays a Naval officer and Shane's future son-in-law. Decker is playing Shane's daughter. Skarsgard will play the brother to Kitsch's character.
Battleship sails into theaters May 18, 2012.

Dude, Liam Neeson be hustlin and gettin that paper!! And well deserved too. This guy really has ALOT of iconic characters under his belt now that i think about it.

Neeson can usually save any movie he's in....Except for the Phantom Menace.....What? Too Soon?
Im with Wiseguy in this..im thinking this could be cool! When they say its loosely based on the board game it sounds like its VERY loosely based on it. Sounds to me like a sweet modern naval battle movie. I think we have been over due for one in my opinion! I like Peter Berg and it looks like the cast just gained some meat with Liam Neeson coming aboard (Pun intended)
I may be one of the few but I've been intrigued with this since it was first mentioned, then a bit more once Berg was onboard, then a little less with Rhiana and now some more with Neesom. I just hope Rhiana goes down
