They have to pull some pretty good Avengers to make this work. Which it won't.

maybe its time for the studios to change thier approach, maybe they should make 12 short films, one a month, and release them in theatres, you don't think legions would line up once a month to catch an episode of the Avengers? that's potentially a lot of money, and an episode per month, seems like they could do it, tone down the fx shots a little, but not a terrible compromise, just a slight one! embrace the comic book aspect a little more and abandon the hollywood formula! I would love to see pretty much every comic book character get a series, that's how thier stories have always been told!
The whole Shield clean up crew sounds an awful lot like Marvel's Damage Control which makes me wonder why don't they just pitch Damage Control. It seems like an ideal fit for episodic television. It was basically about a firm that specialized in cleanup of Superhero battles.
A SHIELD show could be cool. It could star Coleson & be set before the movies showing him dealing with increasingly dangerous threats to the world. We could get some cool Marvel "villians of the week" out of it.
Goldeneyez, you beat me too it! I think Damage Control would be the perfect companion TV series to the Marvel movies. The comic has interesting characters if I recall (been awhile since I read it). It would be involved with the clean-up of superhero battles. Heckfire, they could practically do a whole season on The Avengers aftermath. It could also work in conjunction with SHIELD collecting various items left over in the rubble. I would see it as a humorous Marvel version of the show Warehouse 13.
Now that my brain has started working I'm thinking it could even be shot in a reality show style like Home Makeover.
for the love of all thats holy please have them in masks. they could use vision, wonderman, yellow jacket, wasp, and scarlet witch.
I may watch a show about the agents of Shield, could be interesting.
