Lieberman seeks video game hearings

Gore "offensive to our most basic values"

VARIETY reports that Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman has announced he'll seek Senate hearings on video games out of concern over escalating violence and heh heh gore.

Lieberman, a likely Democratic presidential contender in 2004 and a veteran of the Gore-Lieberman campaign, has made morality a key element of his national appeal in the past and has expressed concern about the content of video games in the past.

Lieberman stated, "The content of many cutting edge games is becoming more and more vivid, violent and offensive to our most basic values."
