I kinda want to see a documentary on the making of this film more than the film itself.  The film was designed, shot, and well into post-production when a seven-week reshoot process was announced.  Now they're bringing in another writer to extensively rewrite the film for reshoots.  We'll basically have an entirely different film than what was originally planned or intended (much like Paul Schrader's prequel to The Exorcist, except Forster has been directing everything).  I never had any interest in the film since day one, but I'd love to watch an extensive documentary detailing all these changes.

You know, I knew with Pitt in the lead, he wouldn't take backseat to the other actors stories.  I assume it was tested and needed a lot of work.  I hope it is like the book...otherwise what is the point?

@innerSanctum, is the Book Good? this one i don't know much of . just that i hear it's different stories with in the same WWZ realm.

Zilla, the book is excellent, very well written.  You might want to consider reading Brook's first book, The Zombie Survival Guide as well.

@pendragon0, thanx i have heard of the zombie Survival Guide, i think i will give it a go.

Yeah, the book is awesome, but it would be hard to make as a film if you have a big-ego star who wouldn't be comfortable just nodding and asking questions of the people actually telling the stories :P

This won't be anything like the book because they probably want to make Pitt the star of the show. When in the book he's just collecting the stories.

This book was meant to be a serialized tv series, where each week we could see a different story, IMO

This film has been through so many screenwriters it makes you wonder what direction they are hoping to take it in or if they keep changing their mind as to what type of film they want.

I still can't figure out why everyone thinks Lindelof is a good writer? This is the same guy that botched up the ending to Lost after real writers set it up for him.  Quite undeserved.

The structure of the book lends itself to a Ken Burns's Civil Wart type approach.  I've never been able to figure out how they were going to work a big star like Brad Pitt into it.  And, as this news suggests, the makers of the film haven't figured it out, either.
