Lining Up for MAGIC TIME

Authors Marc Scott Zicree and Barbara Hambly recently appeared at the Dangerous Visions Bookstore in Studio City, CA to promote their new novel, MAGIC TIME. The novel, published by HarperCollins' EOS imprint, was ranked by Barnes & Noble as one of the year's ten best SF/F books.

Zicree, a longtime television writer, has scripted episodes of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and SLIDERS. Hambly is a regular on the New York Times bestsellers list, having written novels like those in THE DARWATH TRILOGY and THE WINDROSE CHRONICLES. Marc was accompanied to the signing by Elaine Zicree, his wife and frequent television co-writer.

MAGIC TIME centers on the heroic survivors of a disaster that plunges the US, and possibly the entire world, into an era of epic fantasy. Many humans begin to change into seemingly mythical beings. Two more books in the series are planned. The concept is also being shopped to studios as a possible television series.


Dangerous Visions Bookstore, which is devoted solely to genre fiction, is run by Arthur Byron Cover, author of several novels, including BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: NIGHT OF THE LIVING RERUN. Next month, Dangerous Visions will host Dan Simmons, Steven Barns and David Brin.
