A new German film company, Lux Digital Pictures, is working on a 3-D remake of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

Lux and producer-director Jeff Broadstreet describe the project as a "homage" to George Romero's film, whose title is in public domain. The script was written by Robert Valding.

The film will be budgeted at approximately $2 million. Lux Digital is currently shopping the film to international distributors.

I think all of these people who cannibalize Romero's films should be forced to give him a bite of the profits.

This is gonna be like dinner theater, I mean that literally since dinner theater acting is always and only one thing HORRIBLE. I would have said bad but there is no such thing as good dinner theater.
Are these Germs so clueless they cant make their own idea into a 3D film?( Ni offense to Germans of which I am 1/2)

I saw the trailer for this last month...and oddly enough, it didn't look half bad. I'm not saying it will be a work of art, but it's already looking 100 times better than House of the Dead was.

Wow, a zombie movie.....that's original.

This movie really IS original. Yes it's a zombie movie, but it was and still is revolutionary. This movie, along with Romero's other zombie films, are overt political and social commentaries. The zombies are a representation of the "unconcious." The unconcious population, that it.

Watch the movies again. Pay attention. You might learn something.

...for gods sake... another remake

bring us "Airplane: The Remake"

at least that should be funny, if not stupid.

lracors: They already did that, it was called Airplane II: The Sequel.

"Ted, I have the strangest feeling we've been through this exact same thing before."

I don't need to watch it again or pay attention radsauce. Times haven't chaged as far as the political and social commentaries are concerened. The government still pushes people around and abuses their power and life still isn't fair. I can get that with Romero's version. I don't need to watch a 3D Kraut version to understand that. Don't be so naive. As far as an Airplane remake goes, the most recent one was Soul Plane.
