SWAT Lizard?
ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It may be time for someone at Sony Pictures or director Marc Webb's camp to sit down and realize that toy companies are revealing their characters to the world. Despite the fact that the studio has yet to officially reveal that "Lizard" footage they previewed at last summer's San Diego Comic-Con, some toy providers for The Amazing Spider-Man are showing off close up images of the upcoming villain on their products. Here's a couple of examples courtesy of BleedingCool and IdleHands. You can check out more images here.
The toy set provides fans a glimpse of an Oscorp Tower battle sequence between Spidey, the Lizard and "SWAT Lizard". That latter toy could link to rumors from last year that Dr. Connors (Rhys Ifans) infects an entire SWAT team in the film, turning them into more lizard-like minions for his side.
Set to arrive in 3D/2D/IMAX theaters on July 3, 2012, the latest adaptation of the best-selling hero will star Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Sally Field and Martin Sheen. Director Marc Webb led the production, based on a screenplay by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves.
Thanks to Chopsaki for the submission.

Can't tell how it'll translate on film but from what I've seen they seem to have remained pretty faithful to the original Lizard's look. My only question is will he keep his purple pants and lab coat
I am very optimistic about this film
The lizard should have not been done Carnage would have been perfect although it doesn't fit the origin story Electro would have been good also
Looks too much like Dennis Hopper as King Koupa unmasked in Super Mario Bros. Whenever your film can be compared to SMB you're in trouble.
Looks like a lizard. Looks like Spidey. Still can't seem to get excited.
wat.... the....... fuu.......
