10 games we can’t wait to get our hands on!

E3 2013 has come and gone, whetting the appetites of gamers all over the world with the promise of new and exciting games that will be hitting store shelves over the next year.  2013 was a particularly notable E3 with both Microsoft and Sony announcing their next generation of consoles.  So not only do we have dozens of great new games to look forward to mashing our controllers to, but also brand spanking new systems promising  faster and more powerful capabilities.  Coming up with the top games that we want to play was no easy task but I think we’ve come up with one heck of a list!  Check out the trailers for the ten games we cannot wait to get our hands on!

10. Batman Arkham Origins (Warner Bros.) PS3. Xbox 360, PC
The latest Batman game takes place five years before the events in Batman: Arkham Asylum.  Batman is an experienced crime-fighter in the second year of his career, but has not yet become the veteran superhero portrayed in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

9. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami) PS3, Ps4, Xbox 360, Xbox One
The title sounds like it refers to a guy with a psychosomatic illness but it is the latest in the long-running Metal Gear series taking place in multiple stories from 1975 before the events in Peace Walker, and in 1984.

8. InFamous: Second Son (Sony) PS4
I’ve been a huge fan of the InFamous series since the beginning and now the series moves to the PS4!  Infamous: Second Son features a new protagonist, Delsin Rowe (Troy Baker), and takes place seven years after the events with Cole MacGrath and the Beast from the first two titles corresponding with the good ending in Infamous 2.

7. Destiny (Activision) PS3, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One
Developed by Bungie Destiny is set seven hundred years into the future in a post-apocalyptic setting following a prosperous period of exploration, peace and technological advancement known as the Golden Age. In a universe where humans have spread out and colonized planets in the Solar System, an event known as "the Collapse" saw the mysterious dissolution of these colonies, the end of the Golden Age, and mankind teetering on the brink of extinction.

6. Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix) PS4, Xbox One
The latest installment in the action/RPG series is a heavy departure from other installments in the Final Fantasy series, providing a darker and more realistic atmosphere that focuses on human emotions and believable characters. The game features expansive environments and a seamless and customizable battle system, which gives players great freedom regarding their preferred play method.

5. The Crew (Ubisoft) Xbox One, PS4
The Crew is an open world for racing across the United States. The single-player campaign is 20 hours long, and entails infiltrating criminal groups. Missions can be played alone, with friends, or with online co-op matchmaking. The multiplayer mode lets players create teams to compete online in races and other gametypes.

4. Beyond: Two Souls (Sony) PS3
We’ve been hearing about this one for a long time now and it looks like it will finally hit in October.  The game, which features psychological, spiritual and thriller elements, is centered around questions about what happens after death.

3. Titanfall (Electronic Arts) Xbox One, Xbox 360
This Mecha first-person shooeter wowed crowds at E3 this year.  The game is multiplayer-only, but injects single-player elements such as plot, character chatter, and non-player characters into its matches.

2. Battlefield 4 (Electronic Arts) PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC
Yes it’s Battlefield. We know it well and we love it but damn does Battlefield 4 look great!  Battlefield 4 multiplayer has been confirmed to contain 3 playable factions; U.S., China and Russia. Also confirmed is the return of the "Commander Mode" last seen in Battlefield 2142, which gives select players an RTS-like tactical map and the ability to give orders to teammates.

1. Watch Dogs (Ubisoft) PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One
Watch Dogs was actually revealed at E3 2012 but we don’t care…it looked like a great game a year ago and looks even more incredible now.  Watch Dogs is an open world action-adventure stealth video game in which players control a man named Aiden Pearce (voiced by Noam Jenkins), who can hack into various electronic devices tied to the city's central operating system (ctOS), allowing various methods for the player to solve numerous objectives.

WHAT!!??  Tom Clancy's: The Division is not even mentioned in the top 10???  It is in almost every reviewers' Top 3 that I have seen....Batman and infamous?  Rehashed sequels with upgraded graphics over a serious original game like this?

Division was mos def a major and welcome surprise...it should also be noted that Titanfall, Watchdogs and The Crew will be released on the PC even though the author failed to list them as such.

The Division might get a PC release as well....Ubisoft has heard from the fans and has put up a petition to see how much interest it would get. They want 150K signatures, it is currently at 101K.

If you wish to sign it, just google the division petition and look for the one on change dot org

I agree with the above! The Division looks like the sickest game ever, with Watch Dogs a close second. I'm a big fan of the Arkham games and Assassin's Creed series, but The Division and Watch Dogs look to make jokes out of those other two series... and all other games that get in their way. The Division will be my reason for buying an Xbox One!!!

I'll be getting Arkham Origins for sure.  Can't wait for it.

I was a big fan of the Final Fantasy series up to FF X.  I wish they went back to that type of battle system, the turned based attacks old school style.  Maybe then I'd give it a try.

Also, I'm getting the PS4 over the Xbox 1 even though Microsoft went back on their used game restriction BS. Probably will get Infamous & Killzone, and Knack looks cool.

Microsoft took a 180 on their Xbone policies after they realized they were nowhere near the preorders they ecpected. MS can shove that xbone up their asses for all I care. I'll be switching
