this should have been a Snake Pliskin movie!  Escape from space!

 C .  Hmmm...I'd heard an overall failure on this one, but the commercials made it look fun.  I agree, it could have been John Carpenter's Snake film...finale in a trilogy and maybe, just maybe the saving grace from Escape from LA.  Do you think Russell could still pull it off as an aged Pliskin?  

Lockout was an ok movie at best and honestly I was expecting more from Guy Pearce. There were some pretty awesome moments in the movie, like when Snow had to plunge the needle into Emily’s eye to bring her back to life. When I went to the kiosk to find this movie last week the two by my house didn’t have it so a co-worker at Dish suggested trying Blockbuster @ Home. It brings the movies right to my door or I can stream directly to my Hopper. I spent less time and money using the service and I even have the 100th Street Haunting coming to me next week.

C , that's very generous. Guy Pearce, is a great actor. His small role in Hurt Locker was bad ass. I think one of the elements that really killed Lockout was the FX. We're talking SyFy channel bad FX!

I did rather liked the chase at the start, but what killed it for me was the ending, that said I would like to see Snow again in some form or another...

It was a fun popcorn flick. Anyone notice that the final scene of the Prez's daughter ribbing Snow about his first name Marion seems to have been lifted from Sylvester Stallone's COBRA?

 I watched it and have to agree with the review.  Enjoyed it.  Hell of a lot better than Escape from LA.  And, it played well on the small screen.  

 I thought Pearce was wasted in this movie, his character could have done very well in a good story...
