The Logan Files

By: Rob Allstetter
Date: Wednesday, February 13, 2002

WOLVERINE writer Frank Tieri says that "The Logan Files" arc running in WOLVERINE #173-175 will have big ramifications for both Wolverine and Sabretooth.

"If I've noticed one thing about my run on WOLVERINE and DEADPOOL, it's that people like my portrayal of Sabretooth," Tieri says. "They think I'm bringing him back to the bad-ass he was always meant to be.

"We've hinted at some things in 'The Hunted' (story arc in Wolverine) and Deadpool: Agent of Weapon X, that Sabretooth hasn't exactly been a model soldier with the Weapon X program. Sabretooth has had something up his sleeve all this time, and we find out what it is."

Tieri said Sabretooth's plans will not please either Wolverine or the Weapon X program.

"Sabretooth has always been a henchman or a thug," Tieri says. "By the time this arc is over, people will look at him in a different light. At this stage, he'll be a major player in the Marvel Universe."
