Interesting picture of Lois Lane...
The casting of iconic comic book characters is always a good deal of fun and we've been treated to a number of surprises the past couple of weeks with Anne Hathaway going to Selina Kyle, Tom Hardy as Bane and now Henry Cavill as Superman. With those roles being cemented, attention is starting to turn to who will be Lois Lane in the upcoming Zack Snyder Superman film. There's some buzz floating about that the role won't be all that much in general, not quite so intricate to the movie storyline itself, but it'd be hard to believe we'd have a new Superman film without a Lois Lane in it. The Moviefone Blog is highlighting a few names that are making the rounds in Hollywood these days with such noteworthy's as Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Malin Ackerman, Rachel McAdams and Dianna Agron. There's a bevy of women out there that would want to take on the iconic role, even if it is a reduced role, though we can certainly imagine the trauma that many fans would feel would be inflicted upon them if Kristen Stewart jumps from the Twilight movies to Superman next.
Never considered Rashida Jones but she sounds like a possibility to me. Whoever gets it I hope they bring the fiesty, go getter spirit that I want in my Lois Lane. Teri Hatcher and Erica Durance both had some of that for me. Though I liked alot of things about Superman Returns (yeah, I said it!) Kate Bosworth's Lois was not one of them.
Rewatching Lois & Clark took away some of the memory magic I had for Teri Hatcher. I do really like what Durance brings to the role of Lois with Smallville though, especially since they let her be young and sexually confident for the most part. It's a nice change.
I don't know who could be Lois in the new Superman movie, but they had better keep her a sexy nerd like in the comic book. That is all I have to say.
I don't know either axia, but I know who shouldn't Kristin Stewart! YUK! not because she's in Twilight either. She's an ok actress, but I don't find her attractive at all. Lois needs to be HOT, smoking fucking Hottie model hot, and then scoop on a lot of brains and you get Lois.
Lois could've been a supermodel if she wansn't so damn smart curious and spounky. Don't forget it holly wood, and cast a dumpy girl in the role. Hell the last girl who played her was hot as hell in Blue Crush, but Hollywood managed to make her unattractive for the role. WTF
Yeah, I think Durance could do a better job if there was better writing on Smallville. And please don't let Kristin Stewart get the part. They should get some unknown for Lois as well.
I will jump off of high-rise building if they cast Kristen Stewart. I have a major girl-crush on Jessica Biel, but for some reason I don't see her in that role. I think Rachel McAdams would be a good choice though, IMO.
I'm probably going to catch hell for this, but I think Rashida Jones from Parks and Recreation is a pretty ideal Lois.
