Just cast Erica Durance and be done with it!!
With a lot of focus out there yesterday from a number of sites about who could be cast as Lois Lane in the Zack Snyder incarnation of Superman, the folks at Latino Review are going the extra mile by putting some of their money down on it being Olivia Wilde. Citing a "close reliable source" that they cannot name for obvious reasons, they indicate that they were told that Wilde has tested for the role and that because said source is working on another movie, KIN, that Wilde is one, they're aware that the production dates for that may change to accommodate Wilde going in for the Lois Lane role. Naturally, Warner Bros. has zero comment on this and will continue to say that until the role is officially cast. Wilde's definitely earning herself some genre fan credit these days with her roles in Tron: Legacy and the upcoming Cowboys & Aliens.
Does she fit the role for you?
She's a great actress, looks the part and is smokin' hot. Overexposure shmoverexposure. Make it so!
Oh dear God, yes... The only problem I see is House producers not wanting her to take even more time off to do yet another movie...
I think Olivia would be a great choice. She's a great actress & is VERY easy on the eyes!
I think Olivia Wilde would make a great Lois Lane. She can pull off the storng female character that Lois Lane is. I like Erica Durance also but I don't think she would work as a big screen Lois.
Also, please ditch the smoking, Lois doesn't do it in the comics and I don't know why they started it in Superman: The Movie.
I like Olivia Wilde but not as much as Arianny Celeste.

Didn't Margot Kidder have that, "take me home when the bar closes" look to her? And Kate Bosworth? You wanted to convince me that this girlish twenty something has been waiting for him for five years and has his kid, when in reality Bosworth would have been 18 in real time when he left? Really? Stop.
Get a sophisticated WOMAN to play this part. By the time they get to filming this movie Wilde will be almost 28 and have been around a little. This could be a good choice.
I like it. She can act. She is so hot it is indescribable. And any chance of her being over exposed does not concern me in the least.
