Walt Disney has officially released the poster, new images, and more importantly the trailer for their up coming film The Lone Ranger. The trailer was on Jay Leno last night (posted below). Check out the trailer (in HD) on iTunes later today!

Here is the official word from Disney: From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.  Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

The Lone Ranger also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.

The Lone Ranger releases in U.S. theaters on July 3, 2013.

I have almost that same picture from Monument Valley. One of my favorite places on earth. Can't wait to see this.

Idk........ after seeing Armie Hammer's lame performance as the prince in that Julia Roberts-Snow White movie, I dont have a lot of faith in this dude.

This looks just as good as that western with Will Smith... great flick!

Meh. Looks pretty generic.

Yeah... but that shot of monumnet valley is pretty much all there is. You can shoot it from different angles but it is just the same. I AM NOT SAYING it is not EPICALLY COOL though... it is.

Yeah....so basically I'm really failing to give a crap. maybe its just because the trailer isnt very compelling, but this looks like more Disney PG-rated trite cinema.

The production design and kinetic style of action reminds me of Sam Raimi's The Quick And The Dead. It looks interesting but it doesn't fill me curiosity to know more. It doesn't give me that "Wow!" feeling. I might have to see more than this teaser to give me the urge to see it at a theater.
