At first I was shocked, cause I saw Armie Hammer, but thought of the drill sgt from Full Metal Jacket. Then I realized that was R. Lee Ermey and it made more sense. Then I realized I was more interested in seeing this when I though R. Lee was the Lone Ranger...

Also, I'm a Depp fan but this was bad casting. Disney should keep him as a gay pirate. Everyone loves gay pirates.

 Muenster... I think you are giving in to this film. Bluray?  Nah.... I will wait for it to be on Netflix or in the $1 section at the local video store.   It looks that bad.

This teaser was more about a train than it was the title character.  Way to blow a first impression.  As a kid I loved The Lone Ranger, so that makes me want to give it a chance.  Definitely going to need to see more than this.

I think Johnny Depp is a brilliant actor and I have the utmost respect for him.  But at some point he needs to take a role that doesn't require white face cake and an altered voice. 

VTGamehendge, I agree about Depp. He has done some great roles in the past that didn't require pounds of makeup and a silly voice. I have always like Nick of Time. Good movie, and he played a "normal" dad in a terrible situation. Also, it didn't hurt that Mr. Christopher Walken played the bad guy!!
