Dont know what to think about that pic. I'll save my judgment for when I see The Joker in full.

Well, I guess I'll be the first to say it: I don't like it. I appreciate trying to make the new series of Batman films darker and more gothic but that just looks gross, kind of like the makeover the Joker got in the comics. I'll still see the movie but this is a bit extreme.

I LOVE IT. Whe Nolan meant the Dark Knight he was kidding. I'm not sold on Heath Ledger as Joker but I trust Nolan(he hasn't let me down so far). I'm not sure about the scar though(it's rumored Batman is the one that scars him in the film) but the look seems more real. It's the look of a psycho who actually puts make up on, no perfect lipstick you know. It goes perfect with the Batman Begins universe set up in the first film. Nolan could've gone cartoony with Scarecrow and didn't, and he's doing it again with The Joker. My only concern is that from that picture the Joker looks like a completely insane psychpath, there isn't even a hint of his humorous side. I really hope we get a balanced Joker or even a litle darker vs. humor one but not a complete dark Joker. Where is the fun in that? Anyways, hope they put up a pic of him with his suit and green hair soon!

P.S. I did my part with the pixel removal. "Trying to cheat a cheater. You make me smile" The email also said somehting about "you never really know a man until you peel the layers of his face one at a time". Can't wait for the movie!

That sure is one creepy-looking clownface. Clearly they're going for the sinister, homicidal Joker rather than Nicholson's pun-a-minute, over the top Joker. I think it stands a serious chance at working, and I dig the scar as well. What I wonder is how on earth they will still get a PG-13 rating on this film if Joker is as crazy as this makeup makes him out to be.

Good look; looking forward to this more and more.

Dear God, that looks like $h!t.

Really, that's the best they could do?? What a let down.

are we sure this isn't another photoshop pic? It does look a little creepy, but I'll still see the movie because Nolan is doing it. I had my doubts about Bale being Batman and I was very pleased with the way Nolan did Batman Begins.

Nice scar...

Remember at the end of Batman Begins, Gordon talks about one upmanship... we wear bullet broof vests... they fire armor piercing bullets... You wear costume... this guy leaves a calling card...

He's crazy and a bit disfigured... Awesome, cannot wait!

Narpin it isn't all that bad. What are you some armchair director?

Not a big fan of this look. I don't know why they seem to want to stray so far from one of the most iconic villians in comic books, but this looks more appropriate for a Rob Zombie directed flick. To me, they have YET to get the Joker right in a Batman film. This one is just disturbing. I thought Nolan was on track, but I'm skeptical. I mean, I enjoyed Momento and most of Batman Begins (it dragged a couple of times for me.) But, I felt he didn't do the film The Prestige justice. It just didn't click. So, I'm not 100% confident in his choices. I wasn't a big fan of the Heath casting and then this look. We shall see....the only interesting thing...how are they going to make up the toys, towels, ceral boxes, etc. with this creeped out monster Joker? Kind of harsh for kiddies, but I'm sure the adult geeks will eat it up. I hate to see any comic film fail, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Are toys really where the money is anymore? I am sure George Lucas would disagree with me. But for new wave of DC films... Superman Returns and Batman Begins I have noticed a lot of toys sitting in the discount rack for these films? Is it a saturated market? Or are there enough kid friendly action figures out there? The Spider-Man 3 toys are every where but I am not seeing a lot of empty Spider-Man shelves.

Besides harsh for the kiddies? The movie will PG-13... most 13 year olds really aren't playing with toys anymore...
