Once he wraps the 'Iron Man 2' hype, director Jon Favreau goes right to work on his next comic-based film: 'Cowboys & Aliens', starring Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde.
From the official C&A Facebook page comes word that Matthew Libatique has joined the production as cinematographer. Libatique has history with Favreau, having worked on both 'Iron Man' movies.
Also on board is stunt coordinator Tom Harper. Likewise, he's a two-time 'Iron Man' alum.
Brit talk-show host Jonathan Ross hosted an online fan-based Q & A with 'Kick-Ass' director Matthew Vaughn. You'll find a video of the chat (in crappy, non-embeddable form) over at Times Online.
Although it'll probably surprise no one, actor Robert Downey Jr. told the Associated Press that he expects to transition into 'Iron Man 3' down the road.
The AP was in ShoWest chatting up Downey along with actor Zach Galifianakis and director Todd Phillips about their new movie 'Due Date'. When asked what's on the horizon for them, Galifianakis said 'Hangover 2' and Downey said "said he aims to suit up for a third 'Iron Man' flick."
Of course, he could have been referring to Marvel's 'Avengers' mega pic, which will roll cameras before a third Shell-Head film would.
It looks like they're actually going to start marketing this 'Scott Pilgrim vs The World' movie. Hot on the heels of the trailer, Universal has doled out a dozen new images from the film along with this official synopsis:
Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams...literally. The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him. Genre-smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker’s quest to power up with love in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass—and now is back in town—to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.
As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past—from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsomely identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over. www.scottpilgrimthemovie.com

Web outlets who traveled to the set of 'The Losers' last year are now blasting out their actor Q & As. Rather than play favorites and link to one site's transcript over the other (they're all virtually identical) C2F would rather point interested readers to the blog of Andy Diggle.
Diggle is, of course, the writer who concieved the modern take on the DC Comics/Vertigo title, on which the movie is based. He does a good job of rounding up all the sites that are running their transcription of the on-set press conference.
Also popping up at same sites are six new posters from the film, each spotlighting one member of the titular black ops team.

The first full trailer for 'Marmaduke' is now online.
The movie has Owen Wilson, Fergie, Kiefer Sutherland and George Lopez voicing furry critters who say super-hilarious things like "I am not an animal. Oh wait. Yes I am." Able players like Lee Pace, Judy Greer and William H. Macy fill out the human cast.
OK, C2F thinks it looks mostly unfunny, but we also understand we're probably not part of the target demographic.
