For that matter s it me or did the coma-ladies sister who taklked to Desmo9nd nt look like the Other chick who captured Daniel's group in the 50yr. past island. and wow did not see Charles Widmor being an Other 50yrs ago coming. And quite a militant one at that.

Guess it is stressful being an Other.

Had a crazy notion when Des and Penny named their son Charlie(I'm assu, kming aftrer Charlie Chase for his help in bringing the back together) that the baby Charlie woul;d end p back in time amnd ecome Chatrles Widmore.  Maybe that's why Ben was after Penny, it would've erased Charles's existence.

Mbeckham, I mention the Charlie Pace/Charles Widmore possibilty in a previous comment box. I didn't go so far ahead as to put together Ben killing Penny equals Ben erasing Widmore, but it's intriguing.

I am however worried this show is in danger of getting a little too sci-fi for it's own good. I love sci-fi, but that was never what made this show so fascinating - to me anyway. Regardless, sci-fi or not, I'm in til the end, and loving the ride so far.

Yeah, i just caught that after posting.  Cool.l  Yeah, theed is that danger, but to Lost's credit, they've managed to navigate thre trippy world of time travel events happening out oof order world a hell of a lot better and more entertainly, and engagingly  than mot scifi series could.

Hey Joe, it's cool that you didn't answer; I probably should've put "nevermind" instead haha, since what I meant is that after I watched the episode a second time, the question seemed a bit clearer.

Hanso, I don't know about the back to the future thing, since Faraday explained a few episodes ago that you can't really change anything, and it'll find a way to fix itself.  Thanks for the info on the Log book though.  I still wonder how/if Whidmore fits into Hanso/Dharma as well or not.

oh btw, a friend of mine said that he thinks the H-Bomb will be buried way down in the Orchid station, since Change told those guys not to drill a hole in the wall, and that it had nuclear power, etc.  Plus, since it's so deep underground, it would probably be safer.  Both the Swan and the Orchid seem like good posibilities.

Hey Hanso, thanks for the word on the future Jeremy Bentham episode.Much appreciated.

good point about Penny . its very strange how she met Desmond, and how Mrs Hawkings was in that show. they say love is blind , and Desmond is smitten with her . i think as a Widmore , shes knows more than she lets on. As the big statue with the four toes , it may time -shifting Sawyer . perhaps times shifts to the past and seen as a GOD ? . boy this show has way too many ifs   (lol)

Also , theres only about 10 castaways left other than the cast . its red shirt city !!!!!

Hey, here's something I just thought of. Widmore is Penny's dad, but we don't know who her mother is. What if it's Mrs Hawking? It's a good bet Widmore and Ellie hooked up on that island. They seem very familiar with each other in 1954, and it's not a stretch to think that Widmore charmed a young Ellie Hawking some time in the late 70's (or whenever Penny was born)

This could be why Penny knew immediately Des was lying when he told her Faraday's mother was dead.

OK, I may be chasing my own tail here, but Penny is involved much deeper than we think she is.

Joe, great recap/review.  You bring up a lot of points that were also tossed around in the EW recap.  The idea that Charlie Hume could somehow be Charles Widmore and that Penny is actually Charles' mom, the idea that Charlotte is perhaps related to Daniel as either a brother or father is another one.  I don't believe we've seen them kiss.  All we know is Daniel loves her, and it might be more of a fatherly or brotherly love than a romantic love.  Was I the only person who thought actually that Abigail Spencer actually looks a lot like a young Ms. Hawking?  That may just be a coincidence though.  I'm still unclear on Lost's time travel rules in terms of when someone can travel backwards or forwards in time, does their counterpart from that time period disappear or can two versions of the same person exisit in the same time period?  For example, when Locke flashes back to when Eko's brother's plane crashed on the island, does that mean the other version of Locke, who wouldn't have been on the island yet but was certainly alive, just disappears, or are there two Lockes exisiting?
