If this is like a prequel series, I don't like it. I like Agent Coulson fine, but he died. Bringing him back just to be on TV is lame, in my humble opinion.

Looks pretty cool.  It would be kinda awesome if the guy in the hoodie they showed jumping out of the exploding building turned out to be Luke Cage.

It's not a prequel.

How many times does it need to be said?

Yeah.  With a Twitter handle like #coulsonlives, it's definitely not a prequel series.

And in a universe with Gods and monsters and human beings being thawed back to life 70 years after death, a character's who's death was rather vague to begin with, I don't think it'll be that big of a stretch to see him back.

I, for one, am thrilled.  We already see hints of there using the greater Marvel universe for storytelling.  Looking forward to it all.

 It's not a prequel. It's not a prequel.

AND COULSON DIDN'T DIE, FFS!!! They admit it in Avengers! Hill points out that the trading cards were in Coulson's locker, NOT in his coat, and Fury says something about the team needing a push.

They showed the medical crew arrive, and then they cut to the bridge that the audio, when Fury says he didn't make it.

FURY LIED, Coulson was never dead! Dear Lord, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that watched the movie, but I guess dialogue is too much when there's flashy spaceships and stuff flying around.

(sorry for the ranting tone, but for a year now people keep bitching about Coulson dying, but he was never shown as dead.)

Sorry, WarCry; Coulson does indeed die on camera. He stops moving, his eyes stay open and do not blink (we even see him sitting motionless from two different angles), and then the camera follows Nick Fury as he stands and the medical crew steps in. In simple film language terms, he's as dead as Charles Foster Kane or Anakin Skywalker.

However, as Shogunn mentioned, I'm perfectly willing to accept with that the way this universe is set up, there are ways to convincingly bring him back.

Luke Cage jumping outta building methinks.

Looks like it will have Wheldon humor in it also which is a good thing.  Hope they keep that up.

He definitely died. I don't think you watched the film. The cards were fakes.
