Marvel.com has posted the new trailer for the second season of Ultimate Spider-Man. It’s nice to know that we can always find the true Peter Parker somewhere. This cartoon will have to do until the Dan Slott story line runs its course.

Ultimate Spider-Man premiers Monday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET on Disney XD.

This is the crap we got after Spectacular... a Spiderman show that caters to the Avenger/Shield fans and that´s not really about Spiderman but about a group of Shield metahuman teenagers, among which, Spiderman can be found.

Real Spider-man is bouncing around in Ock's head, he should be back within a year.

Even my young kids don't like this Spider-Man cartoon. It's too idiotic and immature to be enjoyable for us.

While I wasn't too much of a fan of the animation of Spectacular Spider-Man, what won me over though was it's mature story themes and situations and drama, but it had a good mix of Spidey fun that we all know and love.

Sadly, I can't say the same about Ulitmate.

This show is insipid. Spider-bike? Never made it past that. SO lame, so very very lame. Kids like it though so I guess they got their audience. I'll just go watch the classic Spiderman animated series again on Netflix.  Tome that Spiderman show that was and will be the best one.

Jeez...when did everybody get so stuffy around here?  I think this show is hilarious.  I'll be honest, with all the narration and breaking the 4th wall, it comes off more as a Teen Deadpool show, but that's what appeals to me about it.  There's a fantastic episode that pokes fun at James Bond movies and Die Hard called "For Your Eye Only" in which Spidey and Fury fend off a group of baddies from taking over the helicarrier...at the end it said, "Peter Parker will return in Dr. Octopussy"...hilarious.

And Axia - besides being a blatant attempt to sell more toys, the Spider Bike was something that S.H.I.E.L.D. dreamed up for him once he signed up.  Spider-man with gadgets and government backing him up.  Don't see what's so wrong with that.

Gadgets for Spiderman yes. A bike? Lame. Peter is Spiderman, he needs no bike or land vehicle of any kind. I found it to be minorly funny, but to me it feels like it is trying WAY to hard to be funny. Avengers Earth's Mightiest Hero's is funny but no cheesy. But that is just me.

I'm with Caveman here. I really enjoy this show. It seems like everyone wants even the cartoons to be aimed at grown ups. I'm OK with throwing something the kids' way especially if it makes me smile and laugh on occasion

I wish they were still making new Super Hero Squad Show episodes, I really dug that series

My 13 year old loves this show. I also enjoy this take on the Spidey story. It is a kids show, if you don't like it... that might be a good thing. It can make me laugh as I watch it with my son. The bobble head looking mini guys stuff really makes me laugh. I hope they keep going a long time.

The crew that made  Avengers Earth's Mightiest Hero's should be in charge of making all the Marvel cartoons. It is simply the best to be made since the animated Spiderman series and the animated X-Men.

SarcasticCaveman 1/15/2013 2:20:47 PM

I usually hate to be this guy, but I'm feeling like a bit of a dick today...must be something in the water...If Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes was so great, it wouldn't have been cancelled to make way for yet another new Avengers cartoon.

YOU MY BOY, AXIA!
