The adventures of Mizuki and Azuma come to an end in the final volume of Love is Like a Hurricane. Mizuki's sister hires him a tutor after his earlier sessions with Azuma ended up being lessons in punishment instead of math and reading! The new tutor, like Azuma, catches a whiff of Mizuki's uke scent and eventually pounces! Is this the end of our passionate couple?

The Review
 With the conclusion of the school festival arc, we finally find out how Azuma met the twins, and how they came to fall so for him.  It's a slightly absurd story, but then, what about this series isn't?  When Mizuki accidentally breaks Azuma's glasses, Miyamoto takes the opportunity to mess with Mizuki's head by telling him that those glasses are an expensive, specially-crafted pair used to treat an incurable condition.  Azuma is not slow to take advantage of the situation, as always.

Summertime means festivals, yukatas, and trips to the beach, with all the obligatory fanservice that those situations usually entail.  As long as he's kept well fed, Mizuki doesn't seem to object too much to these situations, although he protests as loud and long as ever.  And when Mizuki's grades start slipping, Azuma seems to have a talent for making even sex educational when the situation calls for it.  But what is Azuma going to do if Mizuki ends up falling for another man?

This final volume is more of the same - absurd situations that Mizui protests and Azuma takes advantage of.  It's a formula that works, but it's probably a good thing that this is the last volume, because it was starting to run out of steam.  There were a few negative points about this volume that had nothing to do with the story.  For one, the editing was fairly poor - a typo on the back cover never bodes well.  And the art in several places seemed off.  There were multiple panels where Mizuki especially looked off, or even unrecognizable as the same character.

If you enjoyed the manic humor of the first four volumes, you should like this one as well.
