I'm with those who say leave the past in the past, though again I admit n aged Luke as master would be cool.  Han was my favorite character, but Like Gnome, I want to remember him that way.  I'm not pissed or anything, I just not sure if I care yet.  Maybe they'll change my mind.

Funny thing El Baz, magic is never EVER predictable and seldom can be recapture once found. Read the autobiography about Lucas. The original Star Wars was thought to be a huge bust as he sat in a hotel room and waited to hear numbers. HE thought it would be a huge disappointment. Well we how history unfolded.

With all these franchises, Star Trek, Back to the Future, etc, the sequels seldom ever live up to the originals.

I am all for the original trio coming back, even though they swore them off the dynamic is already there in the EU.

Good?  Bad?  This is a wait and see.  I'm sad to say, but Leia is no longer hot, Ford is no longer the swashbuckler and only Luke would have a role that would be perfect for an aged Hammil.  I'd rather they just pass the baton, but who knows?

I honestly don't understand the position of not wanting to see a wiser, battle-hardened Han Solo.  The character is still awesome, and age and experience is not necesarily a bad thing for a character.  I see Han as being the Nick Fury of the Star Wars universe in his advancing age.  And if they're using the same characters, I REALLY don't see them recasting.  Between Lucasfilm and Disney, they have more than enough good special effects to make battle realistic.  And they're not too old!  I refer you once again to Christopher Lee playing Count Dooku.  He's also playing Saruman again in The Hobbit trilogy.  The man is NINETY!  Between body doubles and special effects, I'm predicting now that everybody who is playing the AARP card will be eating their words when these movies come out.

True Leia or Fisher is no longer hot but maybe she can hit the gym for the movie. Anyway they're supoposed to age so wiser older version like caveman said make sense. Solo wasn't going to stay a gambler all his life, like his buddy Lando he has to grow up too.

I'm happy to hear that the originals will be back whatever happens to them I just don't want their roles to be dismissed when they're at the heart of the franchise

"Higgey - Perhaps with either Luke or Jaecen turning to the dark side. Or maybe a different bad guy other then a Sith will be the new baddy. We can't assume it's going to be the Sith."

Maybe Luke can go Sith and then turn Jacen to the Dark Side. Now that would be a twist! And of course it is going to be Sith VS Jedi. When is Star Wars NOT about that eternal conflict?

@SarcasticCaveman - Preach it my man. That post was the bomb.

Han Solo is 100 yrs old.  Mofo would get bitch slapped all day every day.

all i know is that this is going to break Avengers and avatar's record at the B.X.O..i don't have a problem with an aging solo and gang, it's life and we all age wich makes it more realistic in that matter. this is going to be great and EPIC' in every way....

Old Has Solo does not need to fight someone if he is Admiral of entire fleet or Republic Wars ships. He will just order someone to blow his enemies into slag.
