I agree , please noooooooooooooo sequel ! I can pick out many other films that could use one , but this turkey doesnt . I rather see them put all the money into SIN CITY sequel instead .

While attending last summer's San Diego Comic-Con, director Robert Rodriguez revealed to the media that he had hoped to begin shooting Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill as soon as possible. Flash forward to today and it seems at least one of those projects is finally moving forward. Deadline reports that Machete Kills---the second installment in a planned trilogy around the Danny Trejo character---has finished the script process and producers have their eyes on a possible April start of production.
“The fan response to the Machete character has been fanatical since his first appearance,” Rodriguez said. “Machete is truly a super hero and Machete Kills will be bigger and more ambitious than the first time."
While nobody has been locked in as of yet for starring roles, Rodriguez told the trade they expect to have Trejo and the previous film's surviving characters in the follow-up. There will also be a new trailer of the third film attached to release that will be called Machete Kills Again... In Space!.
Plot Concept: The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.
Thanks to Chopsaki for the submission.

Wow, I liked Machete and am really looking forward to a sequel. It was like an over the top roller coaster ride to me. I like the 70s exploitation genre though, so I dug this modern take on it. It reminded me of Black Dynamite as well. I think Black Dynamite was more comedic though which may have helped.
I can't believe it's getting a sequel but when you can pull these films off with such a low budget I guess I shouldn't be surprised
Tried watching this but after about 15 minutes I gave up. Has to be on a night with pretty much no other options for me to give it a full chance
